My MBB Balance Transfer (from CIMB BT account to MBB BT 12-month 0%) was paid to CIMB on 23 Dec 2011
Application appear in their MBB system on 21 Dec 2011.

I submitted the printout from CIMBClicks. Removed the "NCE TRANSFER" and "00/00 Expiry Date" as per advice.

If MBB decides to extend their 0% 12-month BT program, I will continue to "earn free cash"

By removing the "NCE TRANSFER" and "00/00 Expiry Date" and submitting it for BT application, would it be considered fraud?
*
Why is that a fraud ? The CIMB CC has my full name.

May I know what is your reason for removing the "NCE TRANSFER" and "00/00 Expiry Date" instead of submitting the actual statement ?

To avoid MBB from rejecting BT from a BT account drool.gif brows.gif brows.gif

I also hope that the 0% BT will be extended again. But I last heard from CIMB CS that this 0% BT programme MAY NOT BE EXTENDED.

Ya very good deal. Lets calculate this way, 1% 6 months, 2% 12 months??

The interest rate is lower than the FD interest rate... can do a BT to UOB and earn some free cash...haha
*
FD Rate : 3.10% per annum
6 month FD earns you only 1.55% brows.gif ohmy.gif rolleyes.gif sweat.gif

Hopefully, cimb and maybank will extend the 0% BT..... just as what they did beginning of last year.
*
Maybe we should give CIMB a courtesy call to "request" for the BT 0% program.
If they receive enough request, they may just bring it back on.

guess we should do this... especially on cimb. I really feel that its BT is the best among all the bank. Basically no restriction.. e.g can BT from a BT account, accept 'printscreen' statement, can pay just min. 5% for first 5 months, no early exit fee, fast processing time...
*
Because of these "goodies" CIMB decided not to give any more....

I called cimb/ DA 2 days ago. They said they are not going to extend the BT. Imagize if everyone pay ontime after 5 months, they hv nothing to gain. I think they are also in line with BNM policy to tighten the consumer credit.
*
Sad news indeed.... BT is very bad for those who doesn't know how to control their CC spending

there will be massive cancellation of CIMB credit cards soon
*
Not entirely true... Many would need to settle the BT accounts first, before can cancel the Direct Access/CIMB CC

Hi, is it possible for me to swipe a down payment for a car, lets say RM20k, then do BT to another bank... get 6-12mths 0% interest... then keep transfer to another bank when the dateline is near?
*
Why not ? but this how you get yourself into big DEBT
Why need to buy such expensive car ?

I wonder will CIMB approve the 0% 6-month BT application after the expiry date (31 Dec 2011)

Cos I'm having to pay the RM50 GST in Jan 2012 for Y2012... might as well push the BT program to the max (beyond expiry)
