OMG !!! There's no harm in applying BT.
When CIMB see alot of requests, maybe they may bring the 6-month 0% BT program back to live

CIMB only had the 0% 6-month BT program ended on 1 July 2011 to 31 Dec 2011.
As of 1 Jan 2012, no more BT program from CIMB, until further notice.

CIMB BT dept send me a notification :
I guess CIMB 0% 6-month BT program is not available.

Have anyone tried UOB's New-To-Bank Balance Transfer program ?
0% for 6-month and 1% for 12-month.

Of course CIMB will charge you.. that's what banks hope for debt defaulters/late payer

Update on UOB's New-To-Bank Only Balance Transfer program
- called 03-27832212 (UOB Telemarketing dept) and spoke to agent Kelvin
- 2 plan: 0% for 6-month and 1% for 12-month
- No new BT account created
- You can pay 5% minimum for Month 1 to 5, fully settled on Month 6
- When you pay your bill before Due Date, UOB system will deduct the retail transactions, followed by BT amount due.
- Minimum transfer per card : RM1000
- Maximum transfer : 80% of Credit Limit

I'll be trying it with my CIMB BT account....once my card arrives.

Some banks are smarter to identify the type of account based on the first 8-digit of the CC account.

CIMB names it as "Credit Card Type : NCE TRANSFER"

another case of possibly 'mis-informed' CS.
Try to call the number listed and enquire on this one time BT offer.

I managed to BT from CIMB BT account to UOB
ENSURE you have funds to pay your BT...else don't do it.

But very sure HLB's Balance Transfer program offers higher interest rate....

0.5% x 6 = 3% for 6-month BT program (HLB)
But is the interest charged on the 1st month after BT is approved... then effectively higher than 3%

By keeping some balance in HLB, it will incur interest, right ?

I rather keep RM1 balance can ah ???

Go ask AKPK for further advice.
