UOB BT payment to Maybank was made via LOCAL PYMT,CHEQUE NO xxxxxx, not via IBG.
No wonder it's late one day compared to CIMB, HLB, OCBC

Did Citibank create a separate BT account ?
Can we pay only 5% minimum month #1 to #5, and fullly settled on Month #6 ?

No separate ac , I have 2 cards with them and was adviced to BT into the "seldom" use card.

HLB will create a separate ac for its BT programme and you cannot fully settle them within the BT period

Yes, I only need to pay only the minimum 5% repayment from mth#1 ~ mth#5 and bal of the BT on mth#6

There is no penalty if i were to settle early ( no nid to settle as i can fully enjoy this BT )

I wonder if I can get this Citibank BT program when applying for new Citibank card.... hmmm hmm.gif hmm.gif

bro, I also got apply this 0% BT promotion on feb 2012 and my statement came already.
The BT amount is mix with my normal retail transaction. I dont know how much I should pay in order not to get penalty charges.
So, I called up the CS and the shit Yestin give me the answer is the only way to avoid penalty charges is I need to pay full amount.
Means I need to pay full of my retail transaction + the BT full amount.
What the fu*k question? what is the meaning of 0% 6months BT ?
do you have any idea ?

Added on March 9, 2012, 8:52 am
Bro, I also got applied this 0% 6-months BT with reducing balance.
The call centre staff, En. Wafi confirmed with me that I just need to pay 5% of BT outstanding amount in first 5 month, then 6th month pay in full.
And my statement already arrive. The problem is the BT amount is mix with my retail transaction which mean in one same statement.

And yesterday and today I just call the call centre and you guys know what is their answer?

They inform me even now i pay minimum amount, I still will kena financial charges this month.

My feb 2012 statement:
  - normal transaction is total RM200
  - The bt amount is RM20K

based of my understanding, I just need to pay RM200 in full + the RM1000 (20K * 5%) = RM1200  (it can avoid financial charge)

But, what the CS told me was even though I pay minimum payment, I will still got financial charge unless I PAY FULL???

what was that ? fu*k....then what is the meaning of 0% BT ??????
*
Care to share which bank's 0% BT are you referring to ?

Lesson learned - only go for BT where new account is created or you won't be using the card for your transactions.
*
I'm going to get it fixed so that I can use the UOB ONE Card + Enjoy BT flexibility.

just call them to waive it every month. Those CS sure will tell you not to spend anything on your card until you fully settle your BT
*
The first time waiver will happen on goodwill gesture basis only.

Ronnie, did you asked UOB CS if the payment channel to retail transaction first before balance transfer?
Not sure if you were told that UOB balance transfer repayment is equal-monthly-repayment (say BT RM6k, each month has to pay RM1k, not 5%).
*
The BT for New-to-Bank seems to be different i.e. not fixed equal payment.

UOB is a very EVIL bank...

Payment hierachy in the following order :
1. Late charges and Finance Charges
2. New Retail Spends
3. Balance Transfer

Let's quote example...
BT Amount : RM10000 (0% 6-month)
Retail Transaction : RM500
Total Due : RM10500
Payment : RM1000 (RM500 + RM500)
Balance left over : RM9500

Next month's bill
Finance charges = 500 x 17.5% cry.gif cry.gif mad.gif vmad.gif

I've asked for splitting the BT account from UOB CC account (as mentioned by Sales Agent)
If the above fails, I will NOT use the UOB ONE Card for the next 5 months... DAMN !!!!

To be honest the 5% cash rebate from Petrol could cover the 1.5% finance charge also.

i have experienced with 0% from OCBC, you can ask for waiver for the finance charges provided you always pay in full (5% BT + retails). but very tired to call every month for the next 6 months
*
But UOB's Finance Charges posted on Statement Date. Is it the same with OCBC? So do we pay that amount if we ask for waiver?

guys, is payment period of BT have any different with normal CC payment?
(due date ~20 days after statement date)
someone say about being charged if 1 day late..
is it 1 day late after due date? or is it for BT, due date = statement date?
*
It depends on the BT type and from which bank.
Best to confirm with the Customer Service (talk to different CS also)

Just an update on UOB BBT New-to-Bank 6-month 0%
- if you apply for BT in March 2012, you will get a separate BT account.

As for my case, pending my request to convert to separte BT account as it was "mis-informed" by their UOB Sales person.
