I dont get why so many of our fans are really disturbed by the supposed Maiga signing..One fan on Toon Army FB was saying we shouldnt sign him coz he's strike rate is like 6 goals in 10 games..and saying Demba Ba is better than Maiga..and saying we should get better name strikers..who are we to suddenly to get the big fishes around? I mean..none of us honestly would have said Ba would be as prolific as he is now when he signed..thats why there were outcry for us to get a 2nd striker in during the last few days of the transfer window..but some are saying Maiga is not good enough..WTF?

Now suddenly, because Ba has been scoring, we are in 4th position and doing good, there are some who are getting carried away..we are looking to bolster our strike force, whats the harm of getting another striker in? I get ur point bro Zero Cool..im not against u or ur views at all..in fact i agree with u that Maiga is similar to Best and Ba..and that we should not get to elated about the transfer as it is not done yet..

I am just outlining my view in response to the fan who suddenly think we are good enough to get better name strikers and we shouldnt buy people who's strike rate is not good and so on..some of them have hardly seen Maiga play and yet say he will be a bad buy for NUFC..start coming back down to earth..in aint gonna be pretty all season long..

Sorry but I have had enough of Nile Ranger..he's the last brat and troublemaker we need to get out of the club..idiot and shameless thug..wants to fill his resume with how many times he spends in the lock up..

FACT..NILE RANGER HAS SPENT MORE TIME IN THE POLICE STATION THAN ON THE PITCH FOR NEWCASTLE UNITED THIS SEASON..MUPPET!!!

Thats how to show we are improving..last season, we lost to Blackpool and Blackburn at home, draw with Fulham and Wigan..this season, we beat Blackburn, Fulham and Wigan at home..

Now for Stoke away..we lost to them home and away last season..can we get a win there this time? Even a draw would be a great result at the Britannia..

Before that, Blackburn away in the 4th round of the Carling Cup on Wednesday.. a win and we will be in the draw for the Quarter Finals..lets hope for a win and a nice draw too..

HOWAY THE LADS!!!

A draw at Stoke would be great but I really want a win at Blackburn..somehow I feel teams who win cups usually are not so galmorous in terms of players and manager..this year, I feel we fit that criteria..

I was really looking forward to the match when the draw was made..but with the possiblity of playing Elliot in goal, Perch at the back Smith in midfield and Lovenkrands up front, I'm not as confident now..

Just hoping Steve Kean puts out a reserve side coz they got a big game at the weekend againts Norwich..howver. Kean might play a strong team too considering ge is under huge pressure to get the team some kind of win..

Hope we can get a win and get a good and nice draw for the quarter finals..just avoid Man City, Man Utd and Arsenal..let them knock themselves out..hehe

Just saw the goals on Sky Sports News..to be fair, we weren't that great before the late goals..and we missed some guilt-end chances especially Ben Arfa and Marveaux who missed free headers that were easier to score than miss..

Still this is a different Newcastle team to the ones of recent season..the Never Give Up attitude of the players were clear for all to see and I bet there isnt one fan who woke up today that would be mad at the team for losing..yes we lost to Blackburn and they had a strong team out..any team with Christopher Samaba at the back is a hard team to crack..

Alan Pardew will have learnt a lot from this defeat now..he knows which player can be trusted to perform consistently and which ones cant..

We used up our lady luck at Scunthorpe, and Nottingham Forest in the earlier rounds and probably at Wolves too..so its our turn to feel the pain but I am proud of the players last night and so should every NUFC fan..we lost but we lost with pride and dignity..

HOWAY THE LADS!!!

Sorry but I don't buy that about Guthrie, he works hard I give him that, but class? really? perhaps if he is given a run at the centre of the pitch he might develop and fulfill his potential. But with Cabaye and Tiote, with the likes of Gosling for competition, but I do admit that Guthrie is really handy player to be having around the squad for depth. Not to mention the right frame of mind and attitude, great to have in the squad
*
yeah..nothing classy about Guthrie really..he's a good squad player..he needs time but he also has some lapse of concentration..I remember last season at West Brom where he was caught out and injured himeself..personally, I think he's got Gosling to fight with..and not to mention Abeid..a good goal last night..

N Cabaye is great at free kicks and corners..the only reason he took it last night though was because, Ryan Taylor 'over The Wall' wasnt on the pitch but would love Cabaye to take more.. thumbup.gif

The best way to beat Stoke is not to try counter and replicate how they play..never play the long ball or high balls with Stoke..play the ball on the ground and try to outpace them..

If Tiote is out, then Guthrie really has to show his true worth tonight..he needs to show the quality that made him a very sought after player after playing for Bolton on loan in his early years..

Jonas needs to be strong down the left wing..take players on and beat them..physically he needs to be strong going up against those Stoke wing backs..if its Obertan on the right, he needs to run at the defence and weave some magical dribbles and skills..

Ben Arfa is going to replace Best..if Cabaye and the midfielders can thread some through balls to him, theres only one winner in a foot race between Ben Arfa vs Woodgate or Huth..

A win would be great tonight and theres nothing to stop us from doing that..yeah we have had a poor record against Stoke these past few seasons but we also had poor results against Blackburn, Fulham and Villa recently and we managed to make it right this season..maybe Stoke is next..

Demba Ba and Jonas selected as joint Man of the Match by Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville..

Ba for his hatrick and Jonas for shutting up Jermaine Penant all night and covering for Ryan Taylor..Raylor was great too..

Best start in 15 years..

G.Neville own words: "The most complete away performance at the Brittania I have ever seen..28 games since Stoke conceded 3 at the Britannia"

Defensively, we were absolutely fantastic and immense!!!

And well done James Perch..comes on and within 30 seconds, gets a booking!!! thumbup.gif

never been so proud to be a newcastle supporter for a long time..who would have thought we would go to Stoke and thump them 3-1??

i would have taken a point any day of the week after being beaten 4-0 last season

best part was simmo taking the piss by wiping the ball with the towel and wasting time..
laugh.gif

I dont think u watched the match did you? Coz Ryan Taylor did use the towel since the first half.. rclxms.gif

Great feeling about the team spirit..We are beating teams we used to draw or lost to last season..we keep winning matches against teams we won last season..

Next game: Everton..early match at SJP on Saturday..we lost to them last season but we actually have a pretty good record agaunst them at SJP..another win and we will sit in 3rd place for the 2 weeks international break..

n yes..Pardew is doing one hell of a job..its one of the toughest managers job in England..and when under the circumstances he has been under, losing big players and having to buy wisely, he has done a tremendous job! All hail Sir Pardew!!! notworthy.gif

I wonder what Barton, Nolan, Enrique and Carroll are thinking right now? especially Enrique..haha laugh.gif

What is Mike Ashley's next plan to get even more money out of Newcasle United? Hmmmm

Have SportsDirect.com as the shirt sponsor perhaps?

Owh wait..that is the plan...

Maybe he can change the colour of seats at ST JAMES' PARK (i dont give a f**k about the cheap name), to red blue and white..

I just hope our next shirt sponsor is not a betting, gambling or beer company..I want to wear the next shirt proudly..

No worries..Sports Direct.com will be on our shirtss next season then..

Heck..Mike might even have Newcastle United play in a blue, white and red kit next season..!!! laugh.gif

Seriously guys...about the Elite tag..Im not sure why I got it to be honest..and I didnt know it is a big deal coz I have been getting congrats wishes from people in threads I have been in..Im grateful it is a big deal and people do appreciate it..Im just thankful that there are people who appreciate my work and I thank them back for the support they have given..

Anyways back to the footy..im having trouble figuring out who plays wide right since Obertan and Marveaus are injured.. I would think Raylor switches to right wing and Santon at LB..but Im having a bad feeling Pardew would stick Lovenkrands on the right..which would not help Danny Simpson at all..Simpson needs a hardworking player in front of him..

Jonas on the right and Sameobi on the left would be a possibility..but would we start with Sammy? Thats the big question..

As much as I want Jonas covering Raylor, if I was Pardew, I would seriously given consideration to putting Raylor on the right and give Santon his 1st start..if not now, when will Santon ever get a start? As much as Raylor isperforming well at LB, him and Guthrie are practically the same in getting back and helping Simpson..

So I would rather have him on the right and we can use Santon at LB..two poistions that have natural players for it instrwad of Guthrie on the right and Raylor at LB..

EDIT; Since Tiote is out injured, I would put Guthrie in the middle with Raylor on the right and Santon at LB..so the midfield should be Jonas, Cabaye, Guthrie and Raylor with Santon at LB..Just hope Pardew doesnt give the right place for Lovenkrands..

Even Ben Arfa can play wide right but Pardew recently said he wouldnt play Ben Arfa on the wing..but last season in the same fixture, we had a midfield 4 of Jonas on the left, Barton and Tiote in the middle and Ben Arfa on the right..Nolan was supporting Ameobi upfront..

Yeeeeesssssss..Barnsley are taking Nile Ranger on loan..go and party urself in Barnsley u knuckehead..one of the club's wrong decision to give this waste of space a new 5 year contract last December..he's gone now rclxm9.gif
