The only negative from the performance today (I wont mention Shola, its the same comments about him every match) is about Obertan..thats 2 games in a row i see him so lazy off the ball..he doesnt make the runs when his teamates are on the ball..he just stands there waiting for the ball to feet when he should run and find space..

Just looking at the table..had it not been for the superb Shay Given, if we had won, we would have been 3rd and a point behind Man Utd and Chelsea..incredible..but still glad with what we have now.. nod.gif

After looking back on our game last night, it showed something that we never give up..except for the QPR game, I can say all 2nd half performances by the team this season has been superb with the never give up attitude and to fight for every possible point till the end..

Hope this continues..

HOWAY THE LADS!!!

we still firm at 4th spot.  brows.gif

liverpool lost
stoke lost

lest hope everton draw or lost too

why Everton? They already played la..won 301 against Wigan yesterday..they have played 1 less game because their 1st match of the season against Spurs was postponned because of the London riots

Just want to say that we currently have the best defence in the Premier League..only 2 goals conceded in 5 matches..

I know its too early in the season and so on but hey, when is there a better time to say it right? I am just stating the facts..it wont be like that foerver nod.gif

Actually, we do have a good run of winnable games coming up if we keep up the performances we have had and keep the defence well..and also get our injured players back..

next 6 games:
Blackburn (H)
Wolves (A)
Spurs (H)
Wigan (H)
Stoke (A)
Everton (H)

and then Man City & Man Ud (A), Chelsea (H)..so we need to pick as much points as possible before these three matches..but to be honest, we did pretty well against the top team last season..only Man City managed to pick up full points against us last season..Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool all dropped points against us..we have so far done pretty well against the team we did badly against last season..

Not wrong to be postive and optimistic as a Newcastle fan right now..not often we are in this position and can feel good..enjoy it while it lasts nod.gif

Please dont be shocked to see this at the Blackburn match on Saturday..

Besides the 2 addition of the Sportsdirect.com logo, the NEWCASTLE UNITED font has also been changed to be the same as the SD font too..

This is SJP originally..see the difference..?

Is there any chance to watch the game from online streaming tonight?
*
would be a miracle if there is any..all the foreign streaming sites, even the crappy ones are showing Leeds vs Man Utd..does anyone know how to get live online radio feed? I had one good Newcastle radio streaming site but cant remember bout it now..used it during the Championship season..

What an epic match eventhough just read Live text commentary..heart stopping stuff but what a 4-3 win after extra time..

Last season at the same stage, we beat Chelsea 4-3 with a last minute winner from Shola but tonight, it was captain Colo to the rescue..

Dont want to comment too much coz didnt watch the match but sounds like Rob Elliot had some horrendous moments in goal and the defends were all over the place..especially for the 3rd goal..Perch and Elliot basically crashed the system at the back for us..

An impressive debut for Abeid..and a good 60+minute run out for Ben Arfa..looks good to go for Saturday..although I fear Chris Samba will smash him hard..

Another win that streatches our unbeaten record to 8 matches in league and cup competition..lets hope for a kind draw in the next round..anyone but Man Utd or Arsenal..Man Utd are on form and we've had enough of Arsenal in the cup for a few years..although I think we could beat them..hehe..

Aldershot at home would be nice.. biggrin.gif

WE ARE THE TOON ARMY..WE ARE DIFFERENT AND UNIQUE COMPARED TO OTHER FANS BUT WE WILL ALWAYS BACK AND SUPPORT OUR TEAM THROUGH ALL THE HIGHS AND LOWS..

This is the reason Newcastle fans should print out the table..

1. We are in 4th position
2. Unbeaten after 6 games in the league, 8 games this season in all competitions and 11 games dating back to May last season..
3. WE have the best defence in the league..thats better than Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea and others..
4. We are ahead of Jose Enrique and Andy Carroll's Liverpool, Joey's QPR and not to forget captain chicken dance Kevin Nolan's West Ham..

Not to gloat but its a nice different feeling.. a feeling and position we wont often feel so savour it while it lasts.. smile.gif

is not that i dont wan to visit SJP but then always planning while nobody among my group support or wish to go there...

Added on September 27, 2011, 10:52 amanyone of u being to newcastle before this?

its not that no one wants to go there..but the cost of it is expensive..if u have the money, no need to wait for others..just go there with a family member..have a vacation or something..it's not hard to find ur way to SJP..its in the middle of the city..

Get on a plane to London, then to Newcastle..arrive there just get on a taxi to the city..stay at a hotel there and enjoy the city, SJP and the match itself if ur planning to do so..I havent been there since I lived there like 15 years ago in 96..much has changed but if u go on the Toon Army Malaysia FB page, there are a few members there who often go to SJP for a trip..

Argentina international Jonas Gutierrez has signed a new four-year contract at Newcastle United.

Gutierrez was signed by Kevin Keegan from Real Mallorca in 2008 and stuck with the club after relegation to the Championship.

"I've said many times that I love playing for Newcastle," he said. "I love the city, the fans and the team."

The 28-year-old, who started all six of the Magpies' Premier League games in their unbeaten start to the campaign, said he had "no hesitation" in signing the deal.

"I am proud that the manager and the board see me as part of the long-term future of Newcastle", he added.

The week just gets better for us..this is just great news..my favourite player wants tos stay at the club for the coming years..and this news is just a great surprise..at least I will still have his name to put on the back of my jerseys rclxm9.gif

I just hope this is not Mike Ashley's plan to give him a contract extension so that he can sell Jonas for a higher price..
