NEW RED PUMA LOGO ADDED TO ST JAMES' PARK ROOF

f***ing unreal how much of the advertising hoarding is SD.com, even ignoring the one on the East Stand/Gallowgate. Literally runs all over the entire stadium.

Reminds me of the old Pro Evo games. Had "Konami" plastering almost every available space in the stadiums. Yes, we get it! smile.gif

this guy is our weak link, and has been all season ............. this isnt cricket, where you can carry a player for his captaincy skills .......and sadly, you get the impression that hes undroppable in BFS eyes :?

QUOTE
Couldn't agree with you more. Not once did I see him gee up the squad. Captaincy skills ? Maybe in the dressing room but certainly not on the pitch - leaders normally lead !!

QUOTE
Of the games I have seen him live - Cardiff, Leeds, Millwall, Portsmouth, Peterborough and Ipswich he has been quite bad in all of those; looked miles off the pace and like he was playing in no mans land.

Keeps berating other players when he is making the mistakes.

QUOTE
He was no where to be seen again. How many more games are we going to give him....

QUOTE
I did a 15 minute 'Nolan watch' tonight following some of the comments on this thread. I was surprised at how immobile he was and how he spent much of that time walking around the pitch.

QUOTE
Long and short of it is if this bloke isn't scoring goals he is contributing nothing.

Granted he is a great captain but he is a passenger at the moment.

QUOTE
Without commenting on his footballing ability, since when did shouting at others, pointing, kicking advertising hoardings or mimicking the opposition keeper, make you a good captain and an inspirational leader?

Steve Potts did none of the above. What he did do, was lead by example. Perhaps something that Nolan should start concentrating on...?

QUOTE
He has been rubbish for us this season, certainly looks fat and unable to control a football.

These are the comments of West Ham fans regarding a certain Kevin Nolan for them so far..as much as I like Nolan and thankful to him for his goals and contribution to our team in the Championship season and last season, it looks like that Pardew made one good decision here selling off Nolan and repalcing him with Cabaye..and getting 4 million for Nolan must have been good business too!

would love to see Nolan vs Cabaye & Tiote..Nolan wouldnt get a touch of the ball tongue.gif

I think Pardew is an intelligent manager in terms of when to play his players and when not to..u look at Marveaux..fantastic player..but because of his injury problems for the past year, he is only coming off the bench evethough most would say he should start..

Same goes to Ben Arfa and Santon..Santon could have played in that QPR match but Pardew decided otherwise..so I think he is being smart in not doing everything that seems pleasing on the eye..

Hopefully Pardew won't be making wrong decisions again smile.gif

How about Tevez join NUF who previously work under Pardew at WestHam?  thumbup.gif
*
Great player Tevez is and we know Pardew has managed him before..but?

Our team is free of any prima-donnas..trouble-makers (except for Ranger)..

We got rid of Barton..we have a team who work for each other and is strong as a team..Tevez is an individual..selfishly thinks of himself so no thanks smile.gif

A very lucky win I would say..

They should have had a penalty in the 1st half..

They had a goal that was wrongly disallowed..

Our defence were great today especially Steven Taylor..he put his body on the line on so many occasions..

Our players relaxed too much and wasted time on the ball too much and then being caught out especially Tiote who has started to pusing2 on the ball like his early days again..Colo was also guilty of dallying on the ball a little too much too..

Dissapointing we couldnt keep a clean sheet but a win is a win..up to 3rd in the table and now a good two week break..

HOWAY THE LADS!!!

Next up is Spurs, don't fancy our chances against them and I do worry for if Raylor plays and Bale switches flanks for 5 mins we would get raped, not to say Simpson will be fine against him either
*
Bro..why the sense of negativity? Don't u think the players and the team have surprised and exceeded a lot of expectations already this season? Who would have thought the team would be in 4th place after 7 games just a few points behind 3 big clubs? who would have thought we would be unbeaten after 9 games in all competitions and 12 since last season? smile.gif

Yeah I get ur point that Raylor might get raped as well as Simpson but ur only looking at one side of the story..look on our side and we have players more than capable of beating Spurs at home..Im not suggesting we will win the game or am I suggesting we would not lose..im a realistic fan too and I know one day, that unbeaten run, our great form will come to an end.. nod.gif

But I think the players and the team at least deserve a bit of confidence among the fans..a lil bit of credit..its not often Newcastle have a good season and all things being positive..its bad enough when we are doing badly, the negativity among fans is at its highest..so when there's a bit of positivity about the club, the results, if not the performance (like in the 2nd half against Wolves), lets enjoy it while it lasts and save the negativity for later aite?! icon_rolleyes.gif

N to make it more better for Newcastle this season, agent Bruce is doing a terrific job down the road at the Stadium of Shite..and agent Bramble is roughing up girls in taxi cabs instead of strikers on the pitch..!!! laugh.gif

What a good time to be a NUFC fan right now..!

HOWAY THE LADS!!!

very scared against spurs at home.
their speedy demon flanker (Bale+lennon) sure give an headache to our wing back esp Ryan taylor.

i think AP will do the same formation except Ba out of injured.
maybe it will be a great debut for santon replacing RTaylor or simpson.

and full debut HBA replacing an injured BA
*
what are u talking about? when was Ba injured?

N I agree with most of u..Obertan is shit when defending..the thing I hate most about him is when the team is moving forward, he would just stand in one place and wait for the ball instead of making runs or find space..slows everything down when he gets the ball..

Cabaye and Ben Arfa will be sold by Cashley at the end of the season following their impressive performance over the season, so the best bet will be Ameobi
*
Might as well put Shola on the back as Sammy will also be sold..theres only one Shola.. rclxms.gif

Stevie Taylor..got lucky against Wolves but not today mate..

We are still in this..a goal and a sudden rush of adrenaline and we could go and find another..Spurs are normal today..we should not fear them..

Eh..THE ZUL..u got Shola on the back of ur new jersey yet? haha tongue.gif

It was a fantastic performance..but I wasn't surprised that we could actual;ly pull off a result against one of the big team..let me remind all of you here..

Last season: ONLY MAN CITY managed to do the double over Newcastle.. Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs did not manage to get all 6 points against us..

so it does show that our team does not fear the big sides..its the lesser sides that we dropped points againts..like Wigan last season where we drew 2-2 at home..and then we have Stoke after that match and we lost to them home and away last season..if we can improve our results agiants these teams (an on evidence, we can do that), we should be able to pick up more points this season..

Lets compare our results so far this season to that of last season:

Last Season:
Arsenal (H) 4-4 Draw
This season:
Arsenal (H) 0-0 Draw

Last Season:
mackems (A) 1-1 Draw
This season:
mackems (A) 1-0 Win

Last Season:
Fulham (H) 0-0 Draw
This Season:
Fulham (H) 2-1 Win

Last Season:
Blackpool (A) 1-1 Draw
This Season:
QPR (A) 0-0 Draw

Last Season:
Villa (A) 0-1 Lose
This Season
Villa (A) 1-1 Draw

Last Season:
Blackburn (H) 1-2 Lose
This season:
Blackburn (H) 3-1 Win

Last season:
Wolves (A) 1-1 Draw
This season:
Wolves (A) 2-1 Win

Last season:
Spurs (H) 1-1 Draw
This season (H) 2-2 Draw

n i know this is two season ago but just to show..we lost to Scunthorpe and Nottingham Forest away but this season we won both matches away..

so...

Last season:
Wigan (H) 2-2 Draw
This season:
Wigan (H) ???

Last season:
Stoke City (A) 0-4 Lose
This season:
Stoke City (A) ???

Ltes hope we can improve and get better results this tim around

HOWAY THE LADS!!! thumbup.gif
