Tried Simplicity ROM 0.33.

Phone FC twice after talking on incoming call with hands-free.

Not sure if it was caused by hands free + incoming call or not.

Hmm, somehow my XXJVQ (official Samsung's ROM) doesn't have this problem, isn't it weird?

Would anyone be kind enough to send me Phone.apk from 2.3.3?

Added on August 23, 2011, 12:42 amI flashed from XXJVQ to 0.32 Wipe, then in CWM straightaway flash 0.33, then flash CurryDude_Improved_3D-Drivers.zip and Talk2_v1_32.zip (yes, video call working fine) as well. All in 1 go. *lazy to reboot*

Have you tried, while on wires handsfree, then you receive incoming call. After call ended (by the other party), then the phone.apk will FC. Then have to restart phone, cause antenna shows no signal. Enable/disable flight mode can't fix.

I believe most of you all needed this... just like me.

Wish it can be activated for radio and/or BT as well.

I haven't got time to test it yet though.

Check in your drawer, see whether you have Superuser app or not?

Go with wipe cache partition and clear Dalvik cache first?

Then try again. Make sure in Superuser, TB is not being denied.

Mouse over to your phone's name, see what's the pop up message stated?

My phone.apk fc only when I use the wired handsfree, incoming and outgoing call.

As for force power off, doesn't hold down power button until Galaxy S logo appears work for you?

Currently I have set my SGS to use automatic brightness. But from time to time, when I'm outdoor, I find that my brightness does not go up. I go check in the setting and realised that auto brightness has been disabled.

Anyone has any idea how does the auto brightness setting got disabled by itself? This is really annoying, chasing the chicken around.

Using Simplicity 0.33 now.

In fact this happens on all the ROMs I have used previously.

Don't have display tweak or Tasker running. I wonder what causes the auto brightness to be disabled by itself.

I'm suspecting maybe I have used until battery drops until 5% and lower.

I will try to monitor this and see if my setting will be reset when battery dropped that low.

^ 4.5" is already big enough, but 5.3"? Cannot la, gonna looks like GTab 7" when using it as a phone. A big slap of board on the face, lol.

Click on the graphs and look at the hardware usage of the battery.

There are cases where the phone was so lag, that a user can't answer the phone at all, cause the screen just doesn't response to the finger sliding it.

This is so common, even to this day, happens on iPhone4. I've occasionally had this on previous ROMs including custom ROMs. I have always thought to myself, phone app should be given highest priority to reduce its lag, or to make it no lag at all.

After all, if a phone can't answer a call due to lag, what is it then, right?

So, does the script really works? Who knows? AFAIK, it is just crappy when there's an incoming call and you are having trouble answering it. Reminds me to be grateful to phones with hard buttons. Click and answer, such as those on Nokia's.

Either you use it, or you don't. Having a program to enable and disable it at an interval, meaning you are better off not using any IM, such as WhatsApp, Skype, YM, Messenger, Gtalk and such.

Added on September 7, 2011, 12:28 amI feel that Simplicity gives good battery life, or maybe it was just me.

I stopped using Latitude and the battery usage has dropped tremendously, seriously a lot a lot of difference. There was once, after I rebooted phone, while connected to wifi (at home), the battery drain was barely 1% after 2 hours+. I keep checking the phone once a while and noticed the % never dropped! So I left the phone in non-airiplane mode to see the consumption.

Another thing is, uninstall your Skype. Once you run it, it will have a service stayed in background, even after you have disconnected. So, Skype sucks juice, literally.

On average now, my battery can last 1 day, from morning 90% till 20% in the evening on 3G with minimal usage.

The only solution is to backup your SMS again, reset then restore only your SMS and not MMS. This way, you will be able to delete empty threads.

Even sometimes scrolling in WhatsApp, or forwarding image within WhatsApp also will close the app. I think the optimisation on 0.33 is very aggressive, hence the smoothness?
