Try check whether there is superuser installed. If yes try install some apps that require superuser permission.

To all gurus...

I'm still on 2.2 with Speedmod kernel+lagfix. Can i upgrade to 2.3.x directly via kies or need to undo the lagfix first.

Juz want to confirm that i need to remove lagfix first then upgrade.

Tks for this noob question...

better undo it first. if can use odin to flash is even better. but you still can use kies if you want to. the choice is on your hand. all the best.

lagfix need to be disabled first. Not sure bout how updating works thru kies as for MY region DXJV9 requires additional steps in installing the CSC. bootloader also need to be updated

undo lagfix will not wipe your data only factory reset, wipe data, flash rom using odin and select csc will wipe all data. so dont worry. all the best. biggrin.gif

Have anyone tried this ROM: InnOvaTioN v5.2 XXJVS 10 Lockscreen OnAir 2011.09.23? Sound good, quadrant score so height than other ROM. With 10 lockscreen, I think, I will try this ROM tonight.

From the thread, they suggest to use the Galaxian Kernel, but the ROM come with Semaphore 1.7.0. Now I'm confuse, what kernel to use. Galaxian EE or Galaxian GT or Semaphore 1.7.5. blink.gif

im using that ROM, and flash GT version.
the quadrant score is insane i tell u rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif
frequently got 2700+. one time reached 3100+.
but i still playing with the ROM, to test whether it got bugs or not.
on battery wise, seems acceptable. (i seldom use data connection).

Sound good. Can you tell me some detail about the battery life? I know, who want the best battery life, they suggest to use the EE version. For me, I want the smoothness with the good battery life. So, I want try the GT version or maybe Semaphore 1.7.5.

You're doing something wrong somewhere.. I just cannot seem to catch where you're failing with this. Rooting and running Titanium Backup has always been easy and troublefree for me..

you sure you're on DXJV9? the only time i had issue was with XXJVR as it has some space limit issue which results in device unable to root.
