waiting for simplicity 0.40 feedback.. where²?

His kernel isn't bad actually. It's just his stubborness of not releasing sources for his kernel, his refusal to admit mistakes and his constant lies that makes his users and other devs pissed off at him.

Simone201 also kena kao kao from him in his forum. Read the same thread (link above) a bit more and you'll see stories of simone201 being accused of a lot of things which he didn't do.

- batt seems ok only. but i have not calibrated my phone yet, so its not a fair judgement- only flashed it 1 day before.
- quite stable. so far no fc (i din get phone apk fc (yet). din get much calls today
- quite fast and snappy (but.. well, most custom ROMS seems to be sluggish after few weeks of using, so...finger cross)
- gps ok (but haven try with sygic yet, presumably it as good as other JVR roms)
- bluetooth not working at 1st (even wiping cache n dalvik few times), but after flash the add-on bluetooth bloatware, it works again. In simply 0.33, i don rmbr doin this.

well, ust tsted for 1 day, thus these r jus things that i noticed. if u ask me if i ll be waiting for the final 1, well.. i am

note: above r jus my personal exp with this ROM in my phone. i found that other users at XDA having good exp as well.

I was thinking to updated to 2.3.4

Is the following steps is all I need to do?
1. Download XXJVQ / XXJVR
2. Download Odin and .pit files
3. Flash it by odin. Use 512 pit file and tick re-partition.

I was so afraid that I missed out anything.
Coz, I don't have a spare phone with all the contacts.


Besides that, 1 more question, if I use this method to update to 2.3.4. Am I still under warranty?
My phone is not 1 years old yet?

You can import your contacts to Google if you're afraid of messing up.

Edit: Yes, that's the right way. You can then flash a custom kernel to get CWM, then flash the custom ROM using CWM.

I think u misunderstand me.
I was actually trying to say I don't have a spare phone to use. If I mess up this phone.

Anyway, I have backup all my data and apps using Backup Master.
Can I restore all my apps and data back once I updated?
