advise is flash cf-root kernal so you get cwm, then use that cwm make a nandroid backup, then only you flash lite-ning rom, restore the nandroid if you face problems, or if u dun have anything to lose, straight flash lite-ning la, ntg wrong wan~


Guys, i have to say, Cognition 1.31 rom + jeffrey speedfrey 2.0.0 (release) kernal = fantastic battery life! H on for 8 and half hours while downloading manga with mangawatcher while 2 hours me reading manga with twitter refresh every 30 mins, k9 every hour, viber on and auto sync on+normal usage sms/call/viber and i still have 60%!! so far it's the best battery life i've ever seen, and whats more i'm in an area that dont have very good signal, sometimes dc, using DiGi Seriously try the 1.31 rom and that kernal, dam i like what i see

first phone: 2006 w800 - father bought it fer me after much persuasion and also coz the family needs more than 1 hp user, one of the best modding phones at that time, we were basically flashing scripts typed out of hex codes, you can modify the hex codes too and making themes modifying lots of stuffs, new camera drivers, music drivers, display drivers, the camera driver they modify till can adjust shutter speed somemore and can modify the RGB value also . -now passed down to my younger sis

2nd phone -2009nokia n96 given by my uncle as present for spm results, cant be modded much getting the 17 capability dev script was tough, enter factory 2 times, started to lag very badly after awhile and the button start to come off-still with me coz it has the famez GARMIN GPS altho its dam slow >.<

3rd phone 2011- The Samsung Galaxy S2 , been stalking this phone since it was announced at WMC at February 2011 and i was attracted by the trailer, that time was looking at alot of new phone too. First phone i use my own scholarship savings to buy, never used my parents money since i entered university, so i treasure this phone very very much buy all the best protections and accessories for it like the saying goes, u will treasure smtg you buy with your own moneh more~

parents was very strict with me and money so only got 3 phones to date

you got use task managers? or the advanced task killers blabla, coz if u somehow closed the 3g watchdog service, it will stop recording. it's either 3g watchdog or most probably is maxis overmeasured

not the task manager that comes with samsung, the advanced task killers, those that closes services, once u close u wont know, the widget will still be there but it's not recoding your activity.

actually there's not much improvement in any aspect, not that noticeable anyways since samsung never releases a changelog, some reported yellow tint fix, better battery life, these 2 i cant confirm with you coz i never had problems with tint nor does i feel my battery got better at all with kg6, but i'm definitely sure they improved the graphics card coz the bugs in my hd games are fixed once i flash kg1 (apshalt 6, GoF2)

yes yes i agree with you, there's definitely a small battery inside the sgs2, maybe its drained that's why the phone reset, i do remember in v4 or v5 got someone complain take out the battery a few secs to put in microsd and the date time everything resets

if your problem is the signal, it would be better to flash modem/phone instead of kernal
it doesnt matter if u flash cf-root straight or u flash stock then flash cf-root, in both cases you end up with cf-root right?

how's the bluetooth speed?

yep with cognition 1.31 and 2.00 and now with 1.42 and 2.1.0 release version kernal. if u get deep sleep, then u muz use the other versions ad. I never kena b4, use smooth, as u know each phone is different, since the kernal uses undervolting.

did u do battery calibration? charge to 100% then use the battery calibration app, then discharge to near 0% the discharge part is optional, but recommended.

dont judge so fast, batt calibration fiz are you using a SME set or UK set?

-50mins-1hr of playing starblitz(game runs hot and it uses alot battery)
-had a live wallpaper running (ice Galaxy @50% speed)
-brightness @ around 40-50%, not sure coz i manually adjust using the notification slider, it should be that percentage.
-sync all on as usual, including viber gtalk, google+ twitter every 30 mins k9 every hour set to download no matter how big the email and all sync is on in settings, only gps/wifi/bluetooth is not on
-plz ignore the green greenpower icon, i just restarted from flashing a kg3 modem so it auto started when i took screenshot, the kg6 modem kinda not so good in connection, dc more than kg3
-as you can see, was non-stop downloading manga, therefore my phone was nearly awake for the whole time and H is definitely running
-i'm in uniten, middle of serdang bangi and kajang and putrajaya, it's the middle of nowhere and here the connection isnt so good, so it might contribute to the batt drain coz i frequently disconnects.

please chill, this is all bcoz u have too high expectations for this kernal there's more than one reason for a batt drain, wut i find good doesnt mean you'll find it good also, go and flash back your old kernal then

those using speedfrey, good luck, remember to try 2.1 and 2.0 also, if u read the comments some find it batt draining, some like it alot, batt usage is very relative, so try it and dun put ur hopes too high, it's not gonna turn ur 1650 into a 10000mAh ok?

try vignette too, this one has enuff settings to last ur gf for a LONGGGG time, snap ad can apply modify until u satisfied oni save

first time play with speedtest? shitmyx speed memang like that wan. when you use speedtest, it dl from local(malaysia) servers, nearest to you somemore, when u dl stuffs, u dl from overseask, this is where broadbands shine slightly better coz shitmyx throttles your overseas speed wan

speedfrey and nearly ALL modified kernals comes with CWM and recovery wan la, read the changelog la its ad stated got cwm and recovery will naturally be there

not really sure, more concerned about wakelocks, if fon being used drain nvm, phone off still drain, now that's a problem. anyways u can try Android Assistant
