not much fantastic 3g tablets out there:
samsung galaxy tab 3g (p1000), but its only 7"
viewsonic 10s 3g, only running gingerbread.

asus transformer is popular, but no 3g built in.
it might support 3g dongle, but u have to hack it.

or u can get a mifi.

If you want people to be jealous when they look at your phone you shouldn't have any budget limitation. Since you do, I suggest you add another 100-200 and get an AP HTC Incredible S.

Powerful camera, good GPS, 4" screen and should manage doing multitasking.

SGS vs SG SLCD vs S Plus. Is SGS considered 'obsolete' since it's discontinued? Is SLCD and S Plus worth their price? So few people use them. Good dev support? Accessories totally same as SGS? Thanks.

So anyway, if its meant for general uses/gaming the original SGS is okay. I don't see a reason to get the S Plus besides having the highest clock speed with no apparent reason though.

They're not the same although the roms used are the same.

There aren't any as far as I know. P1000 should be the best you can get now.

SGS has the best dev support because its been around long enough. if u like to mess around with ur phone, custom rom and stuff, SGS is a good choice.
since u are looking at the galaxy family, can consider the nexus s as well. so when google comes with ice cream sandwich before the end of the year, you can update it soon

afaik, there's a sub forum for i9000(SGS) and i9003(SL) on xda, but none for the i9001(plus) yet.

I can't topup more... I'm still selling my HTC Aria on RM 700+ and from there I can top up until 300 to buy a phone. Any other phone worth checking out at price tag around 1k? with 1GHz proc?
