If you're using Gmail then the Gmail app would serve you well. Provided the mail is received when you're on an active internet connection, it can still be viewed even if you don't have one. You can probably go for any high end phones as of now. Galaxy Note would be preferable if you don't mind the size and/or prefer it to be big. SGS2 is not recommended unless you can find the non-g version. |

Hi all,
1. Prefered Brand: HTC/Samsung 2. Budget: 1.5k-2k 3. Specs: Ram: 1gig Proc: dual core Camera's MP: 5~8mp with 720p or 1080p capability Screen size: ~4" 4. What I need in the phone - reliability(hence the least faults out of the box) - good battery life. - good warranty/after sales services. - knowing that the brand's will gonna upgrade to latest android OS as soon as possible. - sound quality isn't an issue but preferably comes with a good pair of earphones/handsfree. Personal Note: I'm currently geared towards galaxy nexus but was fond of HTC sensation XE. the only think stopping me right now is that the XE wasn't that promising in terms of battery life and i know that the Beats software is just a gimmick. whether samsung malaysia is gonna bring in Gnex is anybody's guess but from what happened to nexus S on maxis, it'll cost a bomb. As for samsung GSII, there's alot of debate which implies to not being reliable(screen problem was overheard from a friend). then there's a debate on g versions and non-g versions. I guessed i haven't really see a phone that i really want from the android lineup right now but would like feedbacks and suggestions as to what sort of phones i can get now. Maybe in Jan/Feb, there will be more announcements like the 4 core htc. I'm not too keen on that as its gonna drain battery like there's no tomorrow. what do you guys think? |

The phones then might be more suited for your requirements. 1. Prefered Brand: HTC/Samsung 2. Budget: 1.5k-2k 3. Specs: Ram: 1gig Proc: dual core Camera's MP: 5~8mp with 720p or 1080p capability Screen size: ~4" 4. After sales service wise, I can't really comment on this because as of now I still have not sent my phone for samsung's warranty. I did send my friend's Incredible S for warranty and they're really punctual. If SQ is a major issue for you, you should invest in a pair of audiophile earphones. Also, the screen issue on the i9100 is more geared towards the G version. According to my brother, he receives roughly 2-3 sets every week due to screen fade/overheating issues. Not sure if they have fixed it yet though. GNex will definitely come to Malaysia but the only debate is when. AP sets have been pouring in lately so you could probably opt for that if you can't wait for the official release. But as of now, I recommend you wait for at least another month before deciding on getting a phone. |

hahha...thx darkknight...was anticipating that answer...but by saying waiting for the next lineups..its actually waiting for roughly 2-3months coz when products are announced, usually have to wait awhile before it is officially release to the public...plus how long south east asia will get the phones...hahaha..but anyways...i'll wait then..

QUOTE(ggalgojo @ Dec 28 2011, 10:41 AM) thanks xDarkKnightx! from a htc user... i would recommend Samsung.. HTC sense is nice... but it make your phone slow... same hardware... sense = slow... others= fast.. htc got many fancy fancy function... but you will almost for about it after 2 weeks of playing... those is gimmick.. for point 1, need to install anything or its pre-installed inside phone? can you suggest best phone which is abt palm since (standard size not like tab) since i'm not into gadget much thus dunno which phone is good/not.. Maybe someone else can clarify it for you. Palm sized would probably be smaller than 4.3" and since you're so geared towards a HTC, I suggest you wait for the MWC as current offerings just don't seem decent for their price. The Sensation is not a bad phone though but I heard there are some touchscreen issues. It's only 1.2k now though Also, about your statement towards the battery drain of a 4 core phone, I can assure you it won't be a big deal. Most apps now aren't even capable of running on two threads what more four? And those cores which are not used will automatically power themselves down. As far as you are concerned though, it should consume more or less the same power. |

1. Preferred brand: samsung/sony ericsson
2. Budget: around rm1k 3. Specs: processor - at least 1ghz ram - at least 512mb 4. What I need in the phone: good durability, no lag, good battery life So far these are in my list: se mini pro, se neo v, samsung galaxy w and sgs plus I'm not really sure about the price range of these devices.. I hope my budget can get me a decent one as i have not changed my phone for many years and this will be my very first smartphone. Feel free to recommend me any other brands that you think it's good. Thanks |
