Seeking advice from all UTPian senior,

I didn't get the Petronas sponsorship!!!

Can I apply for it against next year for degree??? I am now doing PE foundation Jan 2014 intake, got chance or not if I study real hard for my foundation? What sort of result to get at least to be consider???

i have friend during my foundation (may 2011) his name cyrus (chinese)
during foundation he study very hard...
his pointer almost reaching 4.0
then when he continue his degree rumous said he already got Pet. Scholarship


But I cant guarantee it...

BTW I also got matrix science .......the only good point is not need to pay so much but if I do take up matrix where/how to continue to become PE???

I really need to get pet sponsor is because I am real poor fellow & also for job security as I need to pay back my sponsorship.

So what is UTPian senior advice???

Continue doing my PE foundation & study like no tomorrows & hope for Pet sponsor next year or take up matrix offer???

I am doing PE in UTP now, and I came from matrics (non-bumi). UTP foundation is good, but it's easier to get a scholarship after matrics.

My advice is to do matrics, get 4.0 (it's easy, believe me), apply to UTP for undergrad (if they're taking undergrads, currently they're not btw) or apply to UTM (just as good, possibly even better). When you get a PE place in UTM with your 4.0, it's almost automatic JPA scholarship.

Foundation in UTP (RM18 000 <PTPTN only give max RM8000> remaining use ur money )
-once enter utp study like no tomorrow
-got 3.5 and above
-got scholarship
VERY HIGH RISK in case u only 50-50 will get scholarship (degree fees RM70 000; exclude allowance) but have PTPTN
but once u got shcolarship

other choice
-take matrix (study like no tomorrow)
-continue degree in PE at UTM (there u also can apply scholarship)
NO RISK


My advise is fikir masak2...
Because if you really good no matter what university, what scholarship you will get
Once u graduate , u will have good job and high pay salary
because the company not only gonna see your result but also your soft skill

So if I study like no tomorrow in PE foundation next year degree apply for Pet Sponsor only got 50/50 chance???

If I took up matrix & study like no tomorrow what r the chance to getting PE in UTM & scholarship???

Already got one expensive bird in my hand ( doing PE foundation in UTP with own money ) vs a few beautiful bird in the bush ( doing matrix, JPA, UTM PE )!!!
