Is there a language learning course like Chinese at utp?
*
Yeah you can take mandarin. but you have to show proof that you've never taken it in PMR/SPM (cos the course is ONLY for noobs...pro people cannot simply take just to boost their grade)

QUOTE(a_rev93 @ Nov 29 2012, 04:09 PM)
ofcoz  laugh.gif  they wont accept trial result after jan's over.. need the real one instead

[Random]

Events are a big thing here at UTP. Recruitment drives for everything. Sometimes I wonder how much participation is too much participation...

P.S. jealous at how med students don't have to worry about extra-curriculars...seems like all they do is pass exams...

So anyway do any of you newbies like to write or have a camera? I'm editor of the uni newsletter, Heart of Tronoh (HOT). We're looking for reporters/photographers for next sem. Later we'll have our booth at MMK and you can come visit, but it's never to too early to start recruiting hahaha.

like this page: https://www.facebook.com/heartoftronoh

kinda boring now, but since I'm being promoted to editor next sem, some really big changes are in store! wink.gif

what is the dress code for females?=S
i am so clueless! T_T
I was from college and during classes, I used to wear tshirt, jeans and sports shoes.
Is it alright in UTP?
because I dont have many collared t-shirts =S
I think I have 2 only. rclxub.gif
Help~~ icon_question.gif
owh I am a girl, btw XD
*
MAS week you're gonna need formal wear sometimes, semi-formal other times. Two collared should be enough la.

After that, you can wear almost anything you want (just has to be "decent"). biggrin.gif

will there be a bus or train from utp to subang jaya, selangor?..coz i need to go back evry friday after class and come back to utp on sunday..??
*
I'm from Klang, so our routes are similar. Easiest is to buy bus ticket to KL (Plusliner). The Plusliner counter is in Taman Maju, which is about 3 minute driving distance away from UTP (to get there ask a friend to send or call taxi). You can buy the ticket online as well (go to Plusliner website, origin: Bota, destination: KL). You will board the bus at Taman Maju bus stop. The bus will drop you at KL Sentral. From there you know la.
I do this every time I go back.

The ETS train can also take you to KL sentral, but that one you have to go all the way to Batu Gajah train station to board, and hiring a taxi there is pretty expensive. Ask friend to send also is a bit menyusahkan cos quite far.

Guys is CIMP, Canadian International Matriculation Programme.

Accepted or equivalent to A levels by UTP?
*
Yes, I have a friend who did that. He's doing CE here now.

I NEED HELP.
when i first checked my application status, it says :
Congratulations! Your application is successful.
Programme Offered: CIVIL ENGINEERING
Then, when i download the offer letter, it says ;
Butir-butir kursus adalah seperti berikut :
i. Program Sarjana Muda Kejuruteraan (Kepujian) Kejuruteraan Kimia - 4 Tahun

SO, AM I OFFERED CIVIL ENG / CHEM ENG ???
my first choice is civil and i hope to get it. i was so excited at first but when i read the offer letter, i got disappointed cause i really want civil eng course.
is it possible that they make a mistake on my offer letter? am i the only one in this situation?  icon_question.gif
*
1) 1993? after STPM?

2) Chemical > Civil, why not take it? Anyway just call them up lol, 5 minutes you'll get your answer.

You know what we should have? We should have our own forum, not just one measly thread. Our own message board where people can start topics and remain anon if they wanted to.

Subforum for academic issues, subforum for official news, subforum for random topics.

I was assuming in campus no such service is provided.

Do they do ironing too? basically im too damn lazy to iron my clothes, but being a girl thats a problem cause most of our clothes need ironing. I live in V2. I guess i could go to V1?
*
No lol they don't iron, only wash and fold neatly.

The external dobi will defo charge you extra for ironing I think, and in fact I don't think anyone bothers to iron anyway?? lol

honestly, no need to iron la. you'll get by just fine. Not like you're wearing formal to class every day. laugh.gif
