i came into this thread because the thread sub-title was funny haha, anyway..

just a suggestion, might need to bust out the aircans and clear the vents, dust might be collecting on the vents and causing the fan to stress out.

but the laptop is 1 month old+, the vents cannot be clogged that fast?

The fan could be dying. How's your temp?
I think the fan in rurushu's DV6 were changed by the HP technician when he brought it to the center for the temp problem.

playing lost planet 2 DirectX11 with just medium settings only get 13.2 fps. I am so disappointed why can't play the good old games

i think you need to send it HP Service Centre to check.

Is this thing work with normal mp3 or flac? Currently i'm using Equalizer, Channel Mixer, Dolby Headphone with BeatsAudio turn on.

i think works for all but i no have dts in my active dsp T.T
i found beatsAudio create more bass which is quite annoying to an extend.

then u can go TT with dinraxx.

i don't have DTS too in my DSP list.
yeah thats why i lower down the bass completely when i'm using headphone.
i just swapped Channel Mixer with Free Surround and i think it's more gooding.

Anyone know how to disable the glowing HP logo at the lid? Sometimes I left the laptop turned on overnight, so the glowing logo is a little too bright.

i installed ati 11.8 and my gpu is 725 MHz and memeory is 800Mhz bandwidth is 51.2 Gbps.
acid ur values were 800Mhz, 1000MHz and 64Gbps. is it after overclocking with msi afterburn or just after 11.8?
