If u want same day clearing, go branch request to do Telegraphic Transfer by RENTAS, charges may range between RM7 (RHB) to RM14 (HLB), I dunno bout PBB.

Some banks even got function in their internet banking to do immediate transfer...HLB charges RM1 per transfer but I'm not sure about the transaction limit.

If not urgent, Transfer by GIRO is cheaper, 1/2 to 1 working day clearing time. icon_rolleyes.gif

Very hard to get RM 100 notes now. Bank usually issues you RM 50 notes instead.

Limit is 5k for online transfer/ATM, but how about over the counter?

QUOTE(jtiasa88 @ May 3 2012, 10:17 AM)
i am using standard chartered bank esaver account, cost me 0.50/ibg transaction and regardless of how many times you use. Unlike basic saving account, u enjoy 2 times @ 0.50 each month. Sending limit is also higher as RM9999.99 per day. thus, if u r the frequent user of ibg, suggest to open one esaver account with SC bank. just sharing.

This is what I found for SCB:

Over the counter
a. Visit any of Standard Chartered branches
b. Request to perform MEPS IBG
c. Fill in the application form
You can transfer up to RM 50,000 per transaction over the counter.

I wonder what is the DAILY limit instead?

But the StanChart fees and charges table states that one can transfer up to only RM9,999.99 per transaction OTC. Anything more than that you'll have to perform it multiple times, giving StanChart a chance to charge you the IBG fees several times biggrin.gif But luckily their IBG fee is only RM0.50/transfer which is some of the lowest in Malaysia. So it's ok-lah i guess sweat.gif

The daily MEPS IBG limit for HSBC internet banking is RM40,000/day. All banks seem to have a different policy.

Anyway, the daily MEPS IBG limit set my MEPS itself is RM100k/day actually, if my memory serves me correctly. I remembered reading this somewhere a while ago.

Instead of copying the whole page and posted it here, you may want to refer to their most up to date fees and charges file. Then you will realize that many of the informations listed on their general page are obsolete and each IBG only cost RM0.50 regardless of the account type.

I used Maybank2u to transfer my MBB saving account to OCBC, but the charges is RM2 per transaction (one transaction only per month) instead of RM 0.50 per transaction.
Any tips for this?

Option 1
*Payment of RM8.00 annual fee:-
Unlimited OTC transactions and ATM cash withdrawals.
First 2 GIRO transactions in a month at a fee of RM0.50 per transaction and RM2.00 from the 3rd transaction onwards.

Option 2
*"Pay-as-you-use" (no annual fee):-

From the above, for MBB Basic Saving Account, option 2 is more favourable since I don't have to pay RM8 annual fee.
Do I miss somethings? Any other hidden cost?

BTW, is it possible to transfer MBB Kawanku saving account to MBB Basic Saving Account via Maybank2u?
Any charges involve in the transfer?

You cannot transfer MBB Kawanku Savings account to Maybank Basic Savings Account.
You need to open a brand new account with NEW ATM card + New Maybank2u logon

Are bill payments using CIMB Clicks and M2U considered as IBG and will be charged? Direct from CASA, not using credit card. Thanks.
