Are bill payments using CIMB Clicks and M2U considered as IBG and will be charged? Direct from CASA, not using credit card. Thanks.

Not consider as IBG but BILL PAYMENT ( it's free for most payees)

Hi all,

I've read through all 14 pages here, but i just needed some clarification (pardon me if it's being asked before coz i read all 14 pages, but perhaps i missed some points):

- Is paying say, OCBC credit card from MBB consider IBG?
- Can i convert my current Saving Account (shown as SA in M2U) to Basic Saving Account? Or should i just open another Basic Saving Account?
- If can convert,
- Can i still pay through M2U (auto credit) to my car loan from MBB?
- Can i still transfer from basic saving account to my trading account?

No. Open a new Basic Savings Account with RM20. If your existing M2U account is link to the Kawanku Savings Account, you need to re-create (that's what I needed to do as BSA must be linked to a new ATM Card)
- If can convert,
    - Can i still pay through M2U (auto credit) to my car loan from MBB?
No changes
    - Can i still transfer from basic saving account to my trading account?
No changes

This is the same from any bank except OCBC right? So for example from Public Bank Savings (not basic savings) I'd get charged RM2 for each bill payment? Never heard of BSA until I read this thread... no bank which allow to convert?

For bill payment via PBB Online, it is free. However, credit card is not considered as bill payment. It has to be done through IBG unless the credit card you are paying to is Public Bank's own credit card.

Haven't tried @ Maybank, but Public Bank allow me to link the same online accoutn both my savings account and BSA. M2U shouldn't have any problem I tot, cos I got 3 accounts together there (my main savings and two joint accounts, one savings one current....)

It is true that you can't link your BSA or BCA into your current M2U account.

And by the way, why not just get the ATM debit card ? It is free anyway biggrin.gif Do insist that you want to be on option 2 though smile.gif

Haha... Probably because you already have two account with them ? I personally have two account with CIMB too. One is an Air Asia Savers Account and th other one is a BSA. When i opened the BSA, i was asked why do i want to open another account since i already have a savings account with them. I just told them people are gonna transfer money to me and i don't want to give them my primary account number which is my CIMB Air Asia Savers account. They said oh... ok and proceed to open me the BSA biggrin.gif

Confirm Maybank BSA needs to be primary account + ATM card for new M2U access.
Ensure all the accounts are linked to the new ATM card to ensure all MBB accounts are viewable under new M2U logon.

Then you can go back to the PBB branch you just opened your BSA at and tell the customer service rep that he/she is wrong because Mr. CHASE from forum lowyat insists that your ATM/debit card doesn't come with any annual fee. Do note that you only get 8x free ATM cash withdrawals a month and 6x over the counter transaction a month. Multiple over the counter transactions on the same day is considered as 1x visit only.
