This phone might because of OS problem so it cannot be as powerful as you think. Only way to keep it smooth is reduce the program running like widgets those. And I found that after the RAM over 180MB, the phone will begin to stutter when scrolling around in home screen.

QUOTE(danielcmugen @ Dec 8 2011, 04:45 PM) You're right.Reduce widgets and running apps number are only way to help. Edited: Still teh same easily to reach 180MB Added on December 10, 2011, 4:12 am QUOTE(Cosef @ Dec 8 2011, 08:40 PM) You're right. Did some experiment on the stutter problem, it is always cause by real time apps like time widgets, task monitor widgets and so on.Reduce widgets and running apps number are only way to help. Edited: Still teh same easily to reach 180MB So now i kept only shortcuts and non real time running widgets on my home screen, so far i did not encounter lags or stutter when just unlocked the screen. QUOTE(danielcmugen @ Dec 12 2011, 05:43 PM) But dunno why nowadays my phone no lag(still got lar but very very little) after unlock Maybe your phone will get used to it Running launcherpro + 3D digital clock widget + circle launcher + launcherpro friends widget + launcherpro calender widget, running with 5 homescreens Last time i think i use all these got lag after unlock, so maybe it depends on the time as well? QUOTE(Aaiyaa-its-me-lah @ Dec 12 2011, 09:18 PM) Hi everyone..just bought used ace..so far everyting is fine n great..great deal for money..just tht wat concerns me is tht d battery drains crazy fast.. Used d phone less than 1 day yet have to charge d.. Ofcourse im heavy user.use mainly for internet..yet d less than 1 day bat kinda disappointing.. So any tips? Typical smartphone battery life, with nowadays technology cannot hope for much now What can do turn off the device(wifi, gps, etc) when not needed, reduce screen brightness and don't use monitoring widgets(RAM, tasks, battery, etc). |

QUOTE(djhenry91 @ Dec 13 2011, 02:04 AM) Sadly that works on AMOLED, not LCD The amount of power the display consumes varies significantly depending on the color and brightness shown. As an example, one commercial QVGA OLED display consumes 3 watts while showing black text on a white background, but only 0.7 watts showing white text on a black background.[10] Because the black pixels actually turn off, AMOLED also has contrast ratios that are significantly better than LCD. For typing you can try out GO Keyboard or TouchPal that has settings for vibration during typing.

I found something weird on my phone, I need to start enable the 3G internet or GPRS in network settings to receive mms. If not I will unable to receive it after idling some time....
But enable internet will start transfer data and my credit will gone. I'm using Hotlink anyway... |

QUOTE(game4life @ Dec 27 2011, 07:59 PM) normal for android. try change both apn to mms Yea I did that and tried only the 3G MMS APN settings there, the problem is still there after I make data run a while then change back both APN type to MMS, I still can receive MMS...but after idle for some period it won't work anymore and shows unable to download you still need to enable packet data but it won't connect to internet |

QUOTE(n8210 @ Dec 28 2011, 06:25 PM) My whacky SGA. Before, the normal practice was to charge the phone at least 2 times every day, sometimes 3, because I use 3G every hour, chat, or surfing, and calls and sms, mms...etc... My 3G is always on, even at home because it fails to connect to my modem until I restart my modem for a new refresh IP. Possible you look at your phone lesser than before during christmas But I suddenly notice, for the pass few days, I don't need to recharge my battery so often. Like today, last charge was last night before sleep, from morning until now use like normal but still no need to recharge. Battery still 48%. Christmas miracle? |
