Upgraded to 2.3.6, what I found is:
- Dial and Memo icon changed
- Over scroll glow effect
- Home screen page can roll back to 1st after last
- Main menu can zoom out? Like home screen
- Performance improved a little, but i got not much difference on quadrant score

Now I had wifi issue, it sometimes disconnected then connect back and sometimes won't connect back unless I restart it.

hmm...I restarted my router, then my wifi connection ok already
but seriously I find the unlock screen lag getting happen often, and multitasking work better.

Now I realize when Touchwiz home screen is the one that lags me while I unlock screen, now test on Go Launcher and so far no problem on unlock screen lag.

Tested, and really solved the unlock lag problem.
Test again quadrant I can get until 1094 on the score, I mean with Go Launcher running.

It is already on gingerbread 2.3.6. Is your phone able to start?

Most stock apps runs faster, better battery life.
But TouchWiz slowed...especially on unlock screen.

Not really after I restart the router till now...it is stable.
Just sometime felt the wifi range is smaller compare to last time.

I just kicked TouchWiz off and use LauncherPro then everything seems smooth now

I just had it few months, but it is really more than enough to me~
My 3 main thing already satisfied me:
- Good sound on calling
- Good battery life
- Smooth(just kick off TouchWiz then ok liao )
- Notes

Battery life in 2.3.6 really improve, no joke. I had my phone max volume alarm everyday, few sms and note taking then I still have 35% for 4 days.

Previous time with 2.3.4 I hit 6 days max but just look check time and alarm everyday.

Yes...more lag...because TouchWiz cause it...

I use LauncherPro now, the unlock lag is very rare and not as lag as TouchWiz, other thing is working good just sometime the launcher disappear and left dock there, simply scroll will go back to normal...could be launcher bug.

Possible some other apps hog your phone....

what about stick carbon fibre sticker on it?

Maybe you can look into automotive garage sales, 3M carbon fibre vinyl, but not real carbon fibre haha....real carbon fibre are on fixed shape one.

Yea there are already someone done that before, I plan to stick one too...

Made some tests since i got some left over here...result is bad...it just hard to stick the side round edges but i'm not sure whether 3M carbon fibre sticker will be that much more flexible for it or not.

I just able to cover up the battery cover area.

I used matte black sticker, and the 3M carbon fibre sticker I mentioned actually flexible like skin also, can use hair dryer to soften and stick it one.

Still TouchWiz 3.0 but slight changes on animations and other features.

I was thinking to get Nillkin soft jacket after Chinese new year. That carbon fibre case for galaxy ace is quite hard to find.

Forgotten the price, I bought 2x1 feet and used to stick my mouse and some other stuff.
You can try search in automotive garage in trade zone, coz it originally used to stick car one.
