QUOTE(coolyl91 @ Aug 4 2011, 09:40 PM) So izzoe, u recommend me straight flash to the latest rom which is v2x-2b from the current rom coderom nexus ace which i am using right now? or still nid to pass thru coderom v2x-02 and then v2x-2b? As long as your Baseband is XXKPH/XXKPN, u should be able to flash it.. Make sure u backup your phone using CWM.. In case u got a bootloop.. QUOTE(amka @ Aug 4 2011, 10:16 PM) I do try to backup wit ROM MANAGER downloaded from the android market but it had me to select something like Huawei that i couldnt understand..so i didnt select anything..yet i read this post and i uninstall the ROM MANAGER..and after a few hours i turned off the phone and it wont turn on back even i had replace the batt and try to turn on back..and even i plugged in charger..just like there is no batt in the phone..i haven't install the CWM yet bcoz it wont turn on.. Weird.. If u didnt backup or restore anything, it wont do a thing to your phone.. So far ppl who tried Rom Manager, their phone will automatically shutdown after trying to backup their phone.. Anyway, try this step.,. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1071970

QUOTE(fuzore @ Aug 5 2011, 12:14 PM) i had that exp a lot of times before sometimes it even happened just after i pick up a call... thats when love turn to hate on ace's froyo yup i'm still using that case till today i'm still hoping that this sod are more to firmware related than hardware related... back with froyo a lot of sod then 1st custom rom a few sod 2nd and third custom rom once a while now on V2X-2B havent seen one yet and hopefully wont ever please... i'm testing with my ace for three nights in row now with wifi on usually from 8 or 9pm till morning and still no sod but that might be lucky only so gonna see for the next few days result.. I have read somewhere that one person got his motherboard replace but still experiencing SOD.. Juz maybe Samsung did sumthing with the firmware that cause it to experience SOD.. Need to wait for Cyanogen7 to be available for Ace to confirm this.. Im also lucky then, coz i forgot turn off my wifi last night go straight to sleep and no SOD the next day.. Im on coderom v2x-2b btw..

QUOTE(coolyl91 @ Aug 9 2011, 08:50 PM) Hi guys, i got question about a2sdgui. Isn't the coderom v2-2B already hav a2sdgui this app? What do u mean by setup a2sd which is shown in this web site ''http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1172684''? Do i still need to do so based on the web site to get the best effect? effect like transfer all the things include apps into sd card? Because currently i onli hav my dalvik cache transfered to sd card whereas my internal memory still contained some data. I am wondering whether all the apps can be fully transferred to sd card without leaving any data on my internal memory as we guys noe sga has low internal memory Yes u can have more internal memory with extreme app2sd.. U juz need to open terminal emulator and type QUOTE su
a2sd datasd This will move all data to Sdcard.. Be warned, u will get perfomance issues if u have a lower class sdcard.. And you cant remove the sd card unless u turn off your phone..

QUOTE(coolyl91 @ Aug 10 2011, 11:23 AM) okay thx ... btw what kind of sdcard is considered as high class? class 4 and higher.. but if u wanna use extreme a2sd, ill go for class 6.. i got a fren with 9 pages of apps and games in drawer, but still have 170mb free space using extreme a2sd.. i got only 6 pages and my internal is 140mb (only cachesd).. but its better if u just delete apps u dont need..

QUOTE(un_id @ Aug 14 2011, 01:53 PM) on fla.sh ROM.. issue/bug found: SOD (of course). I heard that is one of the bug.. Funny when the stock KPN user never experienced it but both fla.sh and blackhawk ROM got it.. Never had issues with CodeROM, but then again i switched off wifi when not using.. But had leave it overnight (to test), but still no SOD.. Maybe im the lucky few..

QUOTE(cocooh @ Aug 16 2011, 03:30 PM) Hmm , coz i saw the post written in the first page to be called as the most stable What are the other recommendations ? Now the most stable are problably CodeROM v2x-2b http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1198116or Fla.sh X1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1167Both are different Based.. Highly recommended that u flash stock KPH (for CodeROM) or KPN (for Fla.sh), before flashing either one of these..

QUOTE(mynewuser @ Aug 16 2011, 06:51 PM) I already flash to KPN. What improvement after flash to Fla.sh? Better perfomance, better battery, DT Apss2sd enable, RamHack, EXT4 filesystem (faster), Overscroll Glow(not a big deal for me).. I use CodeROm but i got a friend who test Fla.sh and notice a notification problem (seems slower), but maybe that just him.. He now back on CodeROM.. Fla.sh is basically CodeROM with KPN based.. For me, u better test it all out.. I've got all the CWM backup for each and every custom ROM available.. So i cant really say which is better..

QUOTE(danielcmugen @ Aug 16 2011, 10:38 PM) this phone is better than galaxy 5 in nearly everything...... the pros: 5mp camera with flash and autofocus, 3.5" screen, 800mhz processor the cons: less than 200mb internal memory which sucks big time if you like to customize your phone with widgets/launchers as these cant be moved to sd card , only 200+ RAM, bad battery life if you on 3g and heavy gaming(if moderate usage, the battery life is pretty decent to me), only 15fps video recording Added on August 16, 2011, 10:40 pmguys, after update to gingerbread will the video improve to 30fps? try LGcamera.. u can record video at 25 fps even in froyo.

QUOTE(coolyl91 @ Aug 18 2011, 12:14 PM) Hi guys, can i flash directly from coderom v2-2b to KPN? Is there any precaution? xD If u flash KPN using full-package via Odin, then there's no precaution.. Cause it will wipe everything.. The only precaution is, backup using TB or CWM... Your choice.. And make sure it's the right firmware.. U just want to go to stock ROM? Or want to flash, Fla.sh ROM?
