where i can get this full-package froyo??
Samfirware only provide one-package froyo for this version..
I almost brick my SGA last night..
my SGA failed to boot up after reflash with this firmware..
it's took me almost 15 minute to bring my SGA back alive.. foohh..  doh.gif
*
When u go to samfirmware.com, the first froyo for europe is multi package one.. U cant simply go straight from GB to froyo DXKC1.. Because that 1-package file is only update file and dont have BOOT file for froyo..

my one no problem it can show the warranty (till Apr 2013). but dunno if the warranty is void because i upgrade GB manually  hmm.gif  .
*
Yes your warranty is void coz u flash the firmware from India.. U need DXKPB or DXKP9 firmware..
Even then im not sure will it void your warranty or not..

U can try this code

Then there will be multiple code u can choose from.. pick XME.. then kies will surely detect your phone..

if i'm using android 2.3.4 s5830DDKQ5 version, how can i use this ROM? do i have to flash with 2.3.4 KPB first?
*
If u really want to TRY roms, better try CM7.. Many positive feedback lately.. Fastest ROM for sure since its AOSP..

not sure if cm7 for ace exists.. if so, can u give me a link? btw, for the question earlier, yes, u would need to flash in KPB first then flash in myth ROM
*
U need to start lurking around XDA thread for custom ROM man..

http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1167

Even the ONLY kernel developer for Ace is developing Ace kernel to be use on CM7..
Undervolt and Overclock module is on the way if im not mistaken..

some more info:
actually, the dking has post how to format to ext4, but it is in vietnam language.

here is another option how to format ur sd to ext4 if ur already flash to Myth rom.  Another instruction (i think no need to use sd card reader, just copy and backup all entire data in sd in ur pc. After finish, just copy back the data to ur sd in phone)

how it will help

I tried Myth v1.2 in the morning, I got it done in an hour. I have been trying behradGH for the whole afternoon and yet still cannot get it done. What am I missing on the steps below?

- flash to stock GB 2.3.4 KPB rom
- go into recovery mode, install CWM 4.0.0.9
- wipe clean and reset to factory settings
- install bedhradGH from sd card

I don't see any error msg. It says Installation completed or something like that. Then I reboot. I can get until samsung logo and no further. waited very long but the status would not change. Battery very hot. When i flash back to stock rom, i see my battery half gone. Where is my mistake?
*
FOund this solution on XDA.. Tiresome step IMO, but worth a try..

CODE

first factory reset and clear cache and dalvik (or davlik or watever). flash beta 3, reboot phone again into recovery, flash rc1, then instead of rebooting select power off, then remove battery and re-insert after 5-10sec. i found that reinserting battery helped better that reboot option. if screen still stuck at bootscreen for more than 10 mins, hold power button till phone restarts and second time it shud work.

put it this way, in my personal experience, i find myself going to task manager more often to switch apps of, and clear things for more ram. With froyo, I dont use task manager so often. Because of my simple use, I am satisfied wtih froyo. It is, just an ACE not S2. So I dont do too much, expect too high.
*
Yup.. Froyo is nice actually.. While waiting for CM7, i've downgrade back to froyo..
If u want CWM with froyo, u need to flash CF-Root.. U can have it all with froyo..
EXT4 system, DarktremorA2SD, CWM, init.d (for RAM script management)..
Just flash Cf-root and you can have a GB-like custom ROM..

Sidenote :
RAM usage is definetely high in GB. Try V6 supercharge. I can multitask without feeling sluggish at all.. smile.gif

Actually, I feel that titanium backup is not the best. It could be better, if the backup is like an image back up on desktop. Then when I roll back, it is complete. I don't have to press and confirm one by one. It is also good to hv this function, but there are times when you just want to restore everything while on the go. Anyone using any good backup apps?
*
What do u mean confirm one by one? U can always batch restore your apps.. Titanium is the best other than Nandroid.. But Nandroid will restore the phone and ROM to previous state.. Its just backup in case anything happen when flashing..

OK, after putting back T.Backup apk back into the newly flashed rom, I install TB and then start restore. I chose batch restore, but after that, it starts asking "install" or "cancel" with each apk, one by one for all the apps that I have backup earlier.

Nandroid seems interesting. But "mybackup" is not... I do not recommend it.
*
Weird.. Never happen to me.. When i choose "restore missing apps with data" it will automatically restore all my apps with all data andsave games.. even when i restore my launcher, it will restore the previous state of my homescreen.. Nandroid is actually CWM backup.. It backup the ROM image.. It just an emergency backup in case something goes wrong when u flash new ROM.. There's also advance backup and restore.. But never use it... tongue.gif

i want to asked abt a2sd, in the thread ( CM 7 2.3.7 Kang's build in XDA forumn) stated ext4 will be preinstall, but do i need to partition my sd card to ext4 first or not? kinda confuse here.....

Added on October 5, 2011, 11:00 ambtw i cannot use the #*272*imei# method after flashing to CM7 kang built....cannot connect to kies mehh...
*
About the ext4 preinstalled, the EXT4 is preinstalled for your phone partition.. Nothing to do with sdcard.. U still need to partition your sdcard for a2sd to work..

actually what is ext4? i thought it was the partition format, which we can change using pc....so what actually ext4 preinstall means in this rom?

Added on October 5, 2011, 4:21 pmthis is for internal memory? what does it do actually?
*
To simplify, faster partition format.. Faster read and write process for ROM which will boost your phone perfomance..

You cant because your country sales code [CSC:KC1 (MM1)] is from singapore.. Malaysia is XME..
Try changing your CSC to receive the update..
