@djk:

1. Battery life - How is it for a frequent FB/apps/gps user? phone sucking battery really fast? should consider buying extra battery? how's battery life when using gps apps like papago? and even google maps?
- i am syncing exchange mail on daily basis. i am running on wifi (3g while on the go) with exchange mail, gmail, browsing and fb, the battery lasts for average 3 hours screen on time. i benchmark the battery life based on screen on time rather than idle / standby. from my experience, the screen size and resolution drains battery pretty fast. i got myself a power bank as a solution for the power hungry beast.

2. S-LCD - are you guys satisfied with it? how about the view when having a matte screen protector on it?...does it affect the battery life alot?
- i am really impressed by the resolution of sensation, as i upgrade from htc aria. never compare to samsung galaxy s2 so i wouldnt be able to compare much. it is best for you to have hands on experience and justify for the screen resolution / technology (S-LCD / Super AMOLED)

3. Price/value - are you guys satisfied with what you guys have paid for? or wished that it should be lower?
- i got my SiS set at decent price (RM1880 on 25 June). Pretty satisfied with the amount i invested.

4. Rooting - now i know rooting will increase performance and changing kernels will give better battery life...but by how much? so far i've read quite a few posts in here saying that they've changed the kernel and battery life does improve...but does it improve till i can have a day outside(using apps, internet, gps) without worrying how long the battery will last?
- rooting and custom rom / kernel unveil the true potential of the phone in terms of performance and power saving. since unofficial s-off is available on 30 July and developers are still in the early stage of cooking the rom / kernel. my personal experiences are smoother interface, improved bettery performance (keep updating rom version and kernel version since 31 July, so cant conclude the optimum battery performance) but it is yet to last me 24 hrs with a single full charge as playing pretty heavy testing out the rom

5. sync - I'll be using alot of outlook...someone in buy/sell is selling his sensation coz he claims that outlook can't sync with android(send/receiving). can someone clarify this?
- been syncing (send/receive) exchange mail since 25 June until now, not facing any single issue

hope above personal input helps. cheers mate

any arhd user here mike said ," Because mdj is releasing kernel pretty often, I decided to stick with RCMix kernel. So version 1.1.7 will be with RCMix kernel and I will post a special section with other kernels as well."

so therefore mike change the changelog to 1.1.7 which use RCMix kernel..=) mdj kernel u can install urself i think =P
*

I still restoring my apps and data using titanium.
I was on leedroid so did a superwipe. Will report back once I get enuf data on running 1.1.7.
*
bro, if i am reading it correctly from mike, it is advisable to not restoring (including google account) after flashing rom, let it to settle for an hour and follow by a reboot.

for me none at all, i didnt even use superwipe, I seriously don't know why are there people complaining of problems in the ARHD thread =/

EDIT:

I would too, but I cant track my data usage on my smart plan so nah, better not do huge downloads on it hahaha, so its not considered ORD
*
bro, you can use 3g watchdog to monitor the mobile traffic usage.

One thing is for sure... I miss the green wifi icon and the battery icon with % on leedroid, but it does have a few bugs.

ARHD on the other hand is more or less bug free and smoother a bit. Deamon OC is really good, should give it a try.
*
correct me if i am wrong, that ARHD v.1.1.7 supports OC via Daemon. if i just install the rom, by default it is still running on stock cpu clock speed rite?

battery consumption is averaging at 180-205ma from previous 240-265ma. on my 2nd charge cycle after battery calibration.
