download the application - battery calibration, charge your phone till 100% and run the application with plug on, after run the application only remove the plug. do it everytime after you flash a rom.

be humble. lol. the idling power consumption is very much improved. i am looking forward for the developers to have their hands on custom kernels to further improve the overall performance on 2.3.4.

if you're phone is idle, that is normal. ever since i am running on leedroid v.2.0 onwards, the idle battery life is superb. i used to unplug before i sleep and battery remain 100% after 7 hours idle. during stock rom days, easily i'll lose 7-8% for same case.

currently most of the roms are htc sense 3.0 based, with optional patch of htc sense removal.

dont have to estimate bro, you can check for the info. setting > about phone > battery > battery use > display > time on (total screen up time)

i myself is using sanyo eneloop 5000mah power bank, serves me pretty well which i dont have to worry about phone running out of battery. it is small in size and highly portable. only downside of it is the charging output of 0.5A.
