thanks for sharing. no rush mate, just read update from lee asking if we wants OC Daemon to be included in v.2.2. so just let him to decide which kernel works better with his rom i'm not a big fans of over-clocking anyway.

yes mate. they first unlock those european based phone which is running on 1.45.401.2. you can check your version at setting > about phone > software information > more > build number.

reminder : the official unlock = void warranty if you root your phone.

running on leedroid v.2.1 on 2nd day. battery life seems very much improved. 17 hrs 16 m 38 s since last charging with 50% battery left. 1 hr 8 m screen on time, 30 mins browsing + email syncing via 3G, 30 mins browsing + email syncing via wifi, 1 min voice call.

no hang no lag no restart ever since i am running on leedroid v.2.1. respect to master lee.

bro, i know it somehow holds you back a bit with the recommended radio. you may keep your current radio and see how it works. if not satisfy then you may want to flash the radio.

the reason why developers recommending to flash the radio is that they build the rom based on the radio's RIL (Radio Interface Layer) for optimum performance. still the radio might be telco dependent when comes to performance benchmarking.

ahh.. kinda technical for me to explain further.. need lots of reading on it..

from my experience, the recommended radio for leedroid v.2.1 do improve signal (telco and wifi) for my Sensation. yet to test out the connection speed.

Added on August 16, 2011, 5:03 pmemm..emm.. mate are you asking me?? i am not master nor pretending to be one but just sharing my current configuration. i am running on leedroid v.2.1 rom with stock kernel. not overclocking at the moment. anyway, master lee is working on his custom kernel which allows overclocking.

why not utilise your premium navigation which comes with the package? papago x5 you need to save the folder at SD Card and manually update the resolution to qHD resolution in order to get it works.

@Vryon: just call me teh_master will do, easier in public forum =) dont expect much for quick release of leedroid v.2.2 since lee already pushing hard from v.2.0 to v.2.1 within days. he deserve some family time and he has to sit at his office desk again for long shifts.

btw, anyone tried virtuous rom?

both updates the radio, one via adb push while another via bootloader. correct me if i am wrong.

to enter bootloader, you have to disable fast boot under Power setting, then off your phone. press volume down + power button until you see the white color bootloader screen. as long as you place the radio file (PG58IMG.zip) at root of your SD Card, it will auto detect and ask if you would like to update. just press volume up and you're good to go.

ARHD users, i think ARHD V.2.1.0 will be up anytime from now. the topic title has been updated but download link is still pointing to ARHD V.1.1.8

while i was on ARHD, i did it as per mike's way. as for leedroid v.2.0, i just copy the radio to my SD Card and flash via bootloader.

i didnt check the radio version, but according to vccy, both radio is same so you can flash in either way (the easier way for you)

friend oh friend, android aint need rooting to get free paid app like the awesome iphone did.

all you need is the .apk file and install directly.

no no. i think there is misunderstanding here. you're flashing official ROM only rite? still s-off via revolutionary. what vccy means is warranty will void if you run the official s-off by HTC.

@TongCN: you may want to give a ring to SiS for the pick up procedure rather than waiting for their reply via email since the issue is getting serious

1st question:
if you go for official update (OTA), you wont lose any of your user data. if you flash custom rom (update of same rom ie 4.3.3 to 4.3.4), it also will not affect your user data unless you switch to another rom, then you'll have a fresh device with stock setting.

2nd question:
backup of android applications is only applicable for rooted phones via an application - titanium backup. it backups and stores it at SD Card, which restores application and user data after flashing custom rom. we need no application like itunes to backup applications to pc.

Check the first page,step by step guides to root is there.

You may search for third party browser at the market. I am using dolphin hd which works pretty fine for me. You don't need a rooted phone for those third party applications which is available from market.

you may get yoobao 1700mah battery for sensation from lelong. otherwise, you may want to consider mugen power - 1800mah or anker 1900mah. one of the member here is using mugen power 1800mah battery which he got it from their online store. oh ya, almost forgot there is a secondary battery cum protecting case from powerskin, i believe you got to get it via their online store as well.
