you see duplicate contacts is because your phonebook setting is showing both phone and sim.
people > menu > view > select which directory to be displayed

if you want to transfer contacts from your previous phone:
application > transfer > follow the instructions

if you export your contacts from previous phone to outlook format (.csv), just copy the file to your SD Card and import from your phone

awesome battery life. bro i am more interested with total screen up time for your 1 day 10 hrs.

@Azel: thanks for your input mate. sorry for being stubborn cos i always measure the battery performance on the total screen up time. =)

from my observation during stock rom and custom rom (be it android 2.3.3 or 2.3.4), custom rom improves the battery life span by giving me at least additional 30 mins of screen up time.

my best record on custom rom so far is 3 hrs 20 mins screen up time, i believe it is during leedroid v.2.0 days.

htc's series are known for soft speakers. you may want to improve it via volume+, which can be found at 1st page.

flashed leedroid v.2.3.0 this morning. snappy and smooth performance, battery life improves a lot (yet to charge, battery calibration is not done yet) 100%-10% in 9 hrs 20 mins - 3 hr 45 mins screen up time, 3 hrs 26 mins wifi, 2 mins voice call and trying on settings / navigation to test out the new rom.

yea, volume+ is paid application. google around if you want to get it illegally (thou i am not promoting this approach)

rooting will void warranty. however, as long as you s-off unofficially, you can always unroot and revert back to stock rom for warranty purpose.

yea, you need root access to take screenshot.

no worries about the huge internal memory onboard.

S-Off via revolutionary supports the HBoot version as below:

the built is for 2.3.3 (released long before 2.3.4 update) but i think it works for 2.3.4 as well.

cant be sure if it works for 2.3.4 but i think shouldnt be any problem as long as the hboot version is supported by the revolutionary s-off tool.

it's been a while since we share about screen protector / case.

if my memory serve me well, i remember members shared before that cubic platform is bringing in original matte screen protector, is it available now?

perhaps you may want to have a read under insertcoin page (at xda) see if that is known issue with the ROM itself. first time i heard this issue, where the common issue is that the sense restarts by itself (only sense restart, wallpaper still remain unchanged like your case)

Been using Sensation since June, below are the known issue from my experience and some listed by other owners:
- death grip : solved by case mate tough casing (my experience), WiFi signal is further improved with custom ROM
- underscreen dust : manufacture defects, can send back to HTC service center for repair
- creeky back cover : manufacture defects, can claim new one from HTC service center. Or add paper at between phone body and cover to fill up the gap
- low capacity battery : larger capacity battery is available in the market,or get a powerbank
- last but not least : biggest issue is that I am so much in love with my Sensation from day 1 =)

the bottom of part of the backcover near the 4 buttons, left part isnt fit perfectly if you apply pressure to it then you'll notice. i personally didnt try to rectify it since i am using case mate tough case, i dont even notice the issue. i dont experience the touch screen problem when i am on stock rom.

if i am not mistaken, you got to run the official update of android v.2.3.4 or flashing custom rom for screen capture. press power button and follow by home button, you got to get the right timing between these 2 buttons to get it works.

either you "Tell HTC" about this error, or you live with it, else root it and flash with custom rom.

most of the custom rom is encountering this issue after updated to android v.2.3.4 but now the issue is being tackled.
