actually able to boot in d...
restored all my apps, and restart...
then tweak the boot animation, hang...>.<

to change boot animation, I suggest you:

-download bootanimation.zip (your preferred boot anim)
-AFAIK, RCMix's boot animation filename should be "htc_bootanimation.zip". So you re-name it okay.
-copy the zip file into your SD.
-by using root explorer, go to \data\local\
-delete default htc_bootanimation.zip in that folder. If you want to change down anim, do the same step.
-copy paste you desired boot animation zip file to \data\local\
-set permission to rw-r--r---
-reboot phone. See whether it change or not.
-?????
-profit.

Ya la, but just now you said when using tweak to change boot anim, stuck at htc screen right. So above method is an alternative method.

And I always use my own way to change the boot anim. Some user in XDA also reporting same issue like what you stated earlier.

Have been reading... Want to try custom rom. So to do that, these would be my steps right?

1) Create GoldCard
2) Downgrade ROM to 1.3.x
3) Root the phone (Eng S-OFF and S-OFF)
4) Backup
5) Flash the new ROM

Is that right? When do i change my kernel?

But not for too long.

You will get custom kernel when you flash custom rom, it's in the rom. included with.
