Have to agree,

whats the obsession with lancer.

You bought a inspira, i bought a inspira. be proud of what you bought.
*
There are rich ppl out there, wanna buy value for money, then mod all the way by adding all Mitsu branded things into the car, to revert it back to Lancer or whatever.... but birth cert is still a Proton Inspira...

For me, if I am that rich, I will buy a Lancer or even Evo X outright, then have the bragging rights over Inspira.... rather than bastardize the car with logos that's not rightfully there in the first place....

As they said, its their money, how they spend it is their right and prerogative....

Ya la... for DUMB people what... SMART people like u will also DUN come near me.. scare bang my car what... doh.gif  doh.gif
You have proven you are as DUMB as you have proved by your own posts here in this thread.... as well as also proven your command of English language as DUMB as well...

When I met you at TT, you have proven yourself as DUMB in real life too, thus I dont have to speak much to you, as you are obviously a "Tong Kosong" and empty vessels are the loudest in forums.... As you said, I am SMART enough to keep away from you... and this dont mean that I am afraid of you if i dont wanna talk to you in real life... get it??

And you are behaving like the infamous kyheng, moving the goal posts when you lose argument points, and start shouting and claiming abuse that people here are abusing you... but most replies here are full of argument points, instead of replies like "or should i say poadster who wanna attack me?"....

And did you not also attacked me in PIOC chat, during your conversations with DM3...?? So while you can be rich and have an education degree, this dont mean that you are wealthy and educated in thinking and reasoning... and the others who seemingly disagreeing with you will be deemed as "attacking you"...???

If you cant stand the heat of being in a open forum and cant stand people here having different opinions as you, feel free to leave and go to the other forum where ppl will agree with you...

QUOTE(Guest786 @ Aug 13 2011, 10:33 PM)
Hello bro & sis,

Please advice me sorry im newbie but has been followed this thread since v1.
1.Maybe i forgot and just want ro recall what is the best solution to cover hole (existing spoiler) 2.0 if i want to put spoilet GT.Any recomend shop in kl with the best solution and finishes?
Option one: Get to a paint shop and ask them to "putty" to cover the holes, then respray the entire boot... scroll back a few pages, chyapp have done it and posted a pic...

Option two: Swap your boot + lip with a 1.8 owner, their boot dont have those holes...

2.Just to share info what is the best tweeter for inspira those model without existing tweeter to be placed. So might as well we have to drill to create a hole purposely for tweeter,am i right?any recomend shop in kl?
The current batch of Inspiras dont have the wire mesh to allow for tweeter sound to pass thru, thus you will need a tweeter holder, or for the accessories shop to drill a hole at the casing.... also two options up to you, and most accessories shops can do that, and sell you a good brand... sound is individualistic, my "Focal" may not sound good to you, so you do you own audition on brands...

3.A bit dont understand about oil engine, what is s800 and etc. Can some one make it simple chart maybe let say 5k km need to use what oil, 10k km then what oil something like that. Or do we have specific the best oil gor inspira 2.0 ? Is it the mobil 1?for how many litre normaly we use?
Inpiras require 4.2 to 4.3L of engine oil...

Recommended to change oil at 5,000kms if you use Semi Syn oil (like Syntium 800 as per used in Proton SC)... and change oil at 10,000kms if you use Fully Syn oil (like Syntium 1000 or 3000 or 5000).... It's general good advice to change your S800 oil every 5,000km despite Proton's recommendation, most Semi Syn oils break down and loses its lubricating viscosity after 7,500kms... no point in saving small amount of money and suffering later with a problematic engine due to bad lubrication...

There is no right or wrong "best oil" for Inspira... but you are advised to use the same brand moving on for every oil change.... this is as different oil brands have diff formulation and additives, thus using the same brand each time will give you consistency....

For me, I will continue to use Petronas as I have started with it, and I can "top-up" to Fully Syn Syntium 3000 at my regular SC...

Sorry noob here. Thanks everybody! Cheers!

Tqvm for the explanation Poadster! You're verry helpful & i appriciate it! Well done explanation!

For the additional tweeter, does the installation will void the warranty because i believe sure need to wiring.

For the spoiler,do you know the good shop and roughly how much?

You using the locktect by shorty at klang rite?i will install too i think.really good and worth it rite?
*
Tweeter installation should not void warranty.... this warranty thingy is very much dependent on are you close to the SC ppl... some of them can be helpful to "close one eye" during warranty claims... to making frens with them are recommended...

Also, if you wanna enhance the sound, I would recommend you go spend a bit more and get at least a component set (tweeter + mid bass + crossover in set) and a 4 channel amp (2 channel to power the component set, and the other 2 for sub woofer in future)... and also change the HU to a branded player... pls dont buy the double din "Mitsu" HU as they sound really bad, even the Clarion HU sounds better than them...

Just adding one set of tweeters wont enhance the sound by that much...

For spoiler, you can try Robert at Rainbow Kepong, or Shorty from Klang... u can get spoiler and locktact from Shorty in one go.... LGT and EvoX spoilers priced around 200++....

For locktact, get it as any additional security for the car will be good... and it also adds an ignition cut off too... cheap and effective... and it also should not void warranty....

As for the engine oil.... u need to ask the SC itself, some allows you to bring your own oil (but you have to take away the S800), some allows you to "top up" to fully syn S1000 or S3000 for RM142... i did mine at Senaxis in Taman Mayang Jaya, PJ... call 7806 4654 - Ruby

Carrefour and Tesco have these promos whenever they get their stocks....

As said, these oils are packed and are meant for the EU region, but as long as the ratings are the same... it will work for Inspiras too...

Been using these EU packed oils for my EU branded car.... works damn well....!!

China HU + reverse cam = RM1800 - RM2000+++, depends on how they slaughter you.... thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

hmm... isn't ultraracing got warranty for their struct bar against crack?
*
It carries a warranty, but arent you pissed that you have to change it everytime??

The crack happens coz at the top of the struts tower, between the 2 screw points, there is a small "bump" that causes the UR bottom to sit on top of it... when you corner your car hard and fast and does it often, the bump will stress the bottom and causes it to crack...

So how many times (and your own time spent) will you claim warranty, esp if it keeps cracking??

Also, UR bars uses only 2 nuts to secure it to the towers, unlike OEM Mitsu's bar that uses all 3 nuts... which is also steel metal (not aluminium) as it looks like a 1in water pipe welded to two O shaped metals...

This is how it looks like, taken from Raibow Kepong site...

yea.. with balast?
*
All HID needs a ballast to power the bulbs... Eric prices includes bulbs, ballasts and wiring...

Guest786: I am using 6000K bulbs for both lo beam and fogs... you can change the hi beam to HID too, but you will need to drill a hole thru the casing to pass the HID wires thru, thats y i didnt HID the hi beam too...

Flyaudio also uses china components wrapped inside a "brand", granted you do have much more features such as touch screen, DVD playback, AV input for reverse cams, GPS, BT... but even Flyaudio SQ is worse than stock Clarion HU, and it costs way more.... for the 2K++ china HU, I can get Pioneer RS P90 or Alpine 9887, and Flyaudio will cost you Rm1K more than the china HU....

In the end, its to each his/her own preference, and most importantly, their own money and how they wanna spend it...

This is how it looks like....

Didnt get the OEM ones coz even if its functional, it looks way too cheap, like how I described it... a 1in water metal pipe welded to 2 O rings... cry.gif cry.gif

i believe u need to rewired if HID ..
the original connector will need to connect to the ballast and the ballast to the HID bulbs
*
No wiring work needed, as explained by Sothys...

Your existing power wire plugs to the ballast, and the ballast wires plug to the HID bulb.... and you keep your existing bulb.... and if you need to claim warranty, just remove the HID bulb and re-use the ori bulb, and directly plug the ori existing power wire to the bulb....

Not a single wire was spliced or cut.... these are the new HID, unlike the older ones where you need to cut the ori power wire to mod to the ballast...

Guest786: Inspira dont come with the hood dampers, and its actually hood hydraulic lifters and not dampers... the main purpose of the hydraulic lifters is to lighten the "lifting" part, and to keep the bonnet up without using the metal bar to hold it up.... but you will still use the metal as double security as you dont want the bonnet to "slam" down on your head....!!

So the hood hydraulic lifters are not really needed, you still need to lift the bonnet all the way, albeit it being lighter now... technically you can lift the bonnet halfway and let the hydraulic lifters "push" it up, but you dont wanna let it "swing" up as you dont want to loosen the bonnet screw/nut, right...??

So, its a fun and nice to have add on, but not essential... but not that cheap at RM170 per pair... my European branded car front and back pair (4 pcs total) costs the same... so who says conti car maintenance and parts is more expensive than Asian car parts..??

Anyone here got latest badge inspira without wiremesh for tweeter?does the wire for plug tweeter exist inside the door trim?anyone got checked?
*
The struts works the same as how a front struts should... it holds the steering tighter during corners, and you get better control and feedback... I dont really care of the brand, more the function...

The wiring for the tweeters are still there, its taped to the body and its green and white wire set...

I will get CIDEP too because of I think the design quiet nice but I don't know how heavy it is and how strong it is. According to ckk125 he will contact the Mitsu to get info the OEM front strut bar. Im waiting the good news hehe.

Poadster, what VS are you using? Is it really effective of our car? And this weekend im planning to go COE to buy sunglass holder, anything else accessories that I missed-out which PNP to our Inspira?
As I know sunglass holder only from Proton that we can buy, other accessories (can fit to our Inspira) not sure.
*
How did you know I had VS installed...??? icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

Try Eric (yes, a diff Eric from HID), I got his VS and grounding cable... RM250 for all, IINM...

As for the sunglasses holder, its actually for Persona and its rather small, can only fit slim and small sunglasses.... if you use Rayban Aviator or those huge Prada type ones, forget about it.... and you need to drill hole to fit the holder... so try it before you buy it...

Unless there is one specially for Inspira that I dont know about...

I think the CC5 is ok for normal inspired driving (yes, pun intended)...

But i find the sidewall flex too much, you can feel the tyres flexing when cornering hard and fast.... but overall as the tyres are of softer compound, it does grip well even if the flex is there, thus lesser change of "buang" or tail slipping...

Just wondering how long will it last my driving style.... brows.gif brows.gif

Bro poadster,

Won't the warranty be void if you install the VS? What is the effect you are getting from the VS?

Thanks
*
Again, the warranty issue is mainly dependent on the ppl in the SC, and how keen they are to help you... if they close one eye, they can help you claim irregardless what you mod...

Back to VS, all Eric does are add the VS (which are a whole bunch of capacitors to regulate the electrical current) to the battery, and add 5 thick cables to ground the car, which is supposed to help the flow of electrons across the car... These cables and the VS works in tandem by stabilizing the current coming out of the alternator and battery, and improve the flow by having more grounding cables (as opposed to only ONE thin wire as grounding)...

This have created noticeable brighter headlamps (if you are using the halogen bulbs - u cant see any diff with HID as the electrical current is already regulated by its ballast), slightly colder aircon, slightly better radio reception.... and to some, slightly better acceleration... BUT, pls bear in mind that these "slightly better" increments are so small that some dont even felt a thing...

I did it to get as I have amp and need it to boom my speakers, and to me RM250 to improve the voltage and grounding system is a good investment, and not too painful.... so to each his own, and installing it or not depends in your electrical requirements in the car...

If the answer is YES please share what brand, price and where to get or which shop.
Front struts: yes, steering response is better (again depends on your skill) and you can control and feel the turn better... (bought from Robert Rainbow Pelangi)
VS + Grounding cable: I just replied in a post above this... (gave u Erictioh source link earlier...)
KNN: Not installed this... yet... coz am looking for Stainless Steel mesh air filter... but adding this is like the analogy of jogging thru a forest after rainfall, u breathe better and thus can run faster and longer.... no?? (look for kaitospeed in lyn or simply search KKN in automotive garage)
EO S3000... felt its lighter, better acceleration respond, and quieter engine at low rpm... (got it from Senaxis, and other Petronas stations lo)...

Again, this is so personal that some frens have agreed with me and said they felt improvement with VS+Grounding Cable, KNN, S3000.... and yet some have commented he felt NO DIFF.... so to each his own....

4- Planning to change sportrim does it worth for comfortable? I read somewhere to telling that our current stock rim was designed by taking consideration of economical/safety/comfortable/stability and durability.
Again, personal preference, me using stock 16" + CC5.... changing to 18" cause more harshness and bumpiness to the car, but some have said its not that bad... changing 18" tyres can be more costly... just be aware that 18" rims are subjected to more force due to the slimmer profile of the tyres and most replica rims will dent easily when going over bumps and hitting curbs...

6- Does the SG really help? from personal of view what say you?RM650 for 5years.

SG is NOT A MAGICAL end all cure all solution.... its adding a layer to protection to help preserve the paint coat below it... you will need to still regularly wash and clean your car to see the shine.... if there is a layer of dirt on it, you wont get the shine, simple logic no??

Me and some who have done it, are happy that its much easier to wash and clean the car, and that the shine is there when the car is clean... yet some have huge problems of watermark stains due to the acidic nature of our rain... leaving hard to remove stains, esp on black cars... and after SG, you are not recommended to use polish or wax as it may destroy the SG layer...

So all SG does is to let you have lesser maintenance to maintain the shiny-ness of the car... but you will still need to be committed to very regular cleaning of the car... and even more if you park outside without shade or protection from rain and sun...

Added on August 16, 2011, 9:30 pmJust to share experience on the warranty claim issue...

Was at Sect 13 yesterday to claim warranty on my spoiler...

And since it will be asked what happened to it, lemme spell it out here... it had bubbles since day one when I got the car, and the very next day after getting my car, I went to Sect 13 to claim warranty... and they had refused to change it, only to remove it and re-spray it... and if it happens again, then they will change it for me... and as expected, the bubbles returned...

Thus, went to Sect 13 for warranty claim, and they took pics of the part and the license plate... the warranty claim officer went to my front, looked at it, and walked to the back to snap the license plate... and smiled...

So, even as I had changed front bumper (without Mitsu logo), added VS, changed speakers, changed HID, added LED.... i still managed to claim warranty.... so its up to the people at the SC...

And another thing, Senaxis didnt even bat an eyelid or ask any question when I send it to change oil and they even called me immediately when they had new stocks of the absorber bushing... thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

FYI, while both share the same name and both specializes in Lancer accessories, Rainbow Kepong and Rainbow Penang are not related, they are enemies as they compete for the same clientele... also, Rainbow Penang prices are cheaper than Rainbow Kepong, and its worth a trip if you are getting more items...

Also, am wondering why its called Rainbow Penang when it should be Rainbow Kedah or Rainbow Kulim.... rclxub.gif rclxub.gif
