If it's too good to be true, it's too good to be true. I would really caution against buying oils from hypermarkets after the articles I've read about fakes. The purchaser in charge of motor oils at Tesco probably doesn't even care if it's real or fake, they just care about the bottomline-cost. As long as a supplier is there supplying at a good price, they will buy and stock up. I doubt they have any process of validating the originality of the content/product that they are buying since their turnover is so high. Of course, it could really bee a good deal by Tesco. I just wouldn't bet on it.

oh, i didnt ask the sales bout the mileage, also noticed the car paint finishing is rather so-so, remembered when collecting my wife's city idsi few yrs back, wow! its obvious is a new car when u first look at it...

just got my inspira installed vs & gc by Eric, thanks to his lengthy explanation how the vs & gc works

no joke, once installed the rpm drop when the ac kicks in was reduced significantly! 

i even suggested him to patent his product & market it widely... 

next, knn filter 

After 1000KM service let me know whether the PE/EON/COSE 'kacau' the VS & GROUNDING or not. otherwise they will close 1eyes and you keep in 5years warranty mate!

1) You do not need to hold the right to go to manual mode. Just pull back the left paddle to engage lower gear. If you are cruising, pulling the left paddle once with put you to virtual gear 5.. from there pulling left again will lower gear, right paddle to upshift gear, max is 6... then hold right paddle (2 seconds) to go back to D (auto) mode.

2) You can use this to switch mode but not necessary, pull left paddle immediately puts you one gear lower and into manual mode.

3) If you are in manual mode and suddenly brake, the cvt will lower itself down without you having to downshift. If to a full stop, it will go to gear 1. It will lower itself when slowing down but not upshift, you still have to upshift manually in manual mode.

4) The system is designed to protect itself when overused or when the gear oil is too hot. Proton has added a transmission gear oil cooler in front of the left wheel arch (you cannot see it, you can peek at it thru the fog lamp openings). If you still manage to overuse/heat the oil, the multi display will show "Slow Down" and your rpm will lower itself to a cruising speed. If you see this, stop the car or lower down your speed immediately. It is quite unlikely you will ever see this if you drive it normally unless you super daredevil drive like mad man shifting like crazy for long period of time.

Today during lunch break did my 1K service at Proton SC Pandan Indah @ CKL (next to the Store). Full address:

Opted for Syntium 3000 5W-40. Strangely, after the service, the engine sound very coarse and rough especially when I pressed the accelerator. Couldnt go back to the SC as I got meeting in the afternoon. Will definitely go back tomorrow.

BTW friends, any idea what possibly cause it? Thanks.

Just the pads

At the moment, this is the plan:
1. ProRS brakeline - RM463
2. Endless SSS front brake pad - RM520 - RM550
3. Endless SSY rear brake pad - RM380

Kakimotor package RM1400 for all above plus installation and Motul DOT 5.1 500ml brake fluid

Opinion?

Response will be more precise and less forgiving (zero flexing compared to stock rubber hoses). Just a matter of getting use to it. Brake fade is caused by boiling of the brake fluid under heavy usage; hopefully the Motul is better but since the pads has higher temp rating, should not heat up so fast. The pads needs to be heated up to be effective, so ur first 500metres of jalan in the morning u will find ur brakes less makan coz its still cold.. This can be solved by changing to better caliper set    A twin pot or 4 pot calipers has better clamping power and will use a bigger pad (wider surface on disc) that will give you even better stopping power   

Now poadster will even more poisoned to change whole set ...

i wanted to change to braided for a long time...RM 463 including labour? that is very very reasonable....but the pads aint cheap...

hi, i had my inspira wit this pb after my 10k servis... the car like no power.. i ask the technician they aso duno why... and the plug in computer also no code... have u guys facing any of this pb? the car like powerless and no kick.... any solution to this? even proton cant solve this pb....

i just checked my inspira 1.8manual air filter, noticed that only top portion has the 2 clip on bracket not at the bottom, this  is the 1st time i see the air filter wall exposed as part of the cover box... 

enquiring for an open pod filter from speedworks & few others accessories shop for price comparison...
