QUOTE(nzh0920 @ Aug 14 2011, 09:48 PM) It carries a warranty, but arent you pissed that you have to change it everytime?? The crack happens coz at the top of the struts tower, between the 2 screw points, there is a small "bump" that causes the UR bottom to sit on top of it... when you corner your car hard and fast and does it often, the bump will stress the bottom and causes it to crack... So how many times (and your own time spent) will you claim warranty, esp if it keeps cracking?? Also, UR bars uses only 2 nuts to secure it to the towers, unlike OEM Mitsu's bar that uses all 3 nuts... which is also steel metal (not aluminium) as it looks like a 1in water pipe welded to two O shaped metals... This is how it looks like, taken from Raibow Kepong site... This post has been edited by Poadster: Aug 14 2011, 10:00 PM |

QUOTE(cle900706 @ Aug 14 2011, 07:17 PM) All HID needs a ballast to power the bulbs... Eric prices includes bulbs, ballasts and wiring...Guest786: I am using 6000K bulbs for both lo beam and fogs... you can change the hi beam to HID too, but you will need to drill a hole thru the casing to pass the HID wires thru, thats y i didnt HID the hi beam too... Flyaudio also uses china components wrapped inside a "brand", granted you do have much more features such as touch screen, DVD playback, AV input for reverse cams, GPS, BT... but even Flyaudio SQ is worse than stock Clarion HU, and it costs way more.... for the 2K++ china HU, I can get Pioneer RS P90 or Alpine 9887, and Flyaudio will cost you Rm1K more than the china HU.... In the end, its to each his/her own preference, and most importantly, their own money and how they wanna spend it... Didnt get the OEM ones coz even if its functional, it looks way too cheap, like how I described it... a 1in water metal pipe welded to 2 O rings... As mentioned earlier, installing HID does not void any warranty, they are plug and play items, IF you need to claim the warranty for your headlamps, then before you go, just remove the HID bulbs n ballast, reconnect the ori connector to the halogen bulbs and nobody will ever know you have fitted a HID before, as there is no wire cutting involved.Added on August 14, 2011, 11:22 pmi believe u need to rewired if HID .. the original connector will need to connect to the ballast and the ballast to the HID bulbs So how bout warranty inspira? QUOTE(K3nnYkl82 @ Aug 14 2011, 11:14 PM) i believe u need to rewired if HID .. No wiring work needed, as explained by Sothys...the original connector will need to connect to the ballast and the ballast to the HID bulbs Your existing power wire plugs to the ballast, and the ballast wires plug to the HID bulb.... and you keep your existing bulb.... and if you need to claim warranty, just remove the HID bulb and re-use the ori bulb, and directly plug the ori existing power wire to the bulb.... Not a single wire was spliced or cut.... these are the new HID, unlike the older ones where you need to cut the ori power wire to mod to the ballast... Guest786: Inspira dont come with the hood dampers, and its actually hood hydraulic lifters and not dampers... the main purpose of the hydraulic lifters is to lighten the "lifting" part, and to keep the bonnet up without using the metal bar to hold it up.... but you will still use the metal as double security as you dont want the bonnet to "slam" down on your head....!! So the hood hydraulic lifters are not really needed, you still need to lift the bonnet all the way, albeit it being lighter now... technically you can lift the bonnet halfway and let the hydraulic lifters "push" it up, but you dont wanna let it "swing" up as you dont want to loosen the bonnet screw/nut, right...?? So, its a fun and nice to have add on, but not essential... but not that cheap at RM170 per pair... my European branded car front and back pair (4 pcs total) costs the same... so who says conti car maintenance and parts is more expensive than Asian car parts..?? The struts works the same as how a front struts should... it holds the steering tighter during corners, and you get better control and feedback... I dont really care of the brand, more the function...Anyone here got latest badge inspira without wiremesh for tweeter?does the wire for plug tweeter exist inside the door trim?anyone got checked? The wiring for the tweeters are still there, its taped to the body and its green and white wire set... This post has been edited by Poadster: Aug 15 2011, 01:10 AM |

I will get CIDEP too because of I think the design quiet nice but I don't know how heavy it is and how strong it is. According to ckk125 he will contact the Mitsu to get info the OEM front strut bar. Im waiting the good news hehe.
Poadster, what VS are you using? Is it really effective of our car? And this weekend im planning to go COE to buy sunglass holder, anything else accessories that I missed-out which PNP to our Inspira? As I know sunglass holder only from Proton that we can buy, other accessories (can fit to our Inspira) not sure. |
