Still for the viber personnel (if it's true though) are you sure viber doesnt drain battery at all? because somehow i believe it does... it's not using push technique right?

The only gripe I'm facing is, Calls made by Viber doesn't match my contacts on the default HTC Sense dialer's call history, i.e. Shows "Unknown" instead of the Contact's Name.
It however shows them contact names correctly on the Viber's Call History.
Other than that, its quite ok for now, haven't uncovered any problems yet. thumbup.gif

PS. Using HTC Desire on Reflex S 2.1.7 (latest atm) Custom ROM. HTC Sense version is 2.1

Better but not good enough. It still drain my battery even when im offline, unlike whatsapp. If it drain during online and dont drain during offline then im ok with it.

I have this question too. Can i switch off or have to uninstall totally from my phone? Since i am using whatsapp, it sufficient for me already. And viber call quality highly depend on both user line quality and stability, which in Msia is quite hard. I want to switch on when i am on wifi only.

i asked this before.. settings page, uncheck display notification icon.. and yes... since it's a background running app instead of push messages, it WILL drain batt life despite what they say in their official website.... not that i believe advertisements like that always also...

I had to uninstall it to actually stop it. Never really use it, so its pointless keeping it. They should make it like a normal application where u can start and stop it.
