not quite sure.. its a first time.. lets see if it still happens these few days..

hopefully its just driver problem.

Added on August 28, 2011, 2:07 amyeah.. could be due to hdd too.. too much power draw from 7200rpm maybe? GPU doesnt get enuf power? hmm.. even my USB hub stop working properly after I changing the HDD..

Added on August 28, 2011, 2:08 amwell BSOD was definitely caused by the GPU.. but not sure what caused the GPU to stop working thou.

managed to reproduce the BSOD.

What I did was run furmark at the background, put the laptop to sleep, then wake up and BSOD happens.. now downloading previous drivers and hopefully they'll work.

Problem still occurs with original 5400rpm HDD.. I guess its driver problem..now gonna install older drivers..

Im reckoning its Optimus problem doing switching..

p/s: 5400rpm hdd is darnn slow..

Added on August 28, 2011, 4:51 pmi pmed Swordsmen regarding my problem.

hopefully he can help me troubleshoot see if he can produce the BSOD..

if his unit has no problem.. something must be wrong with mine..

Added on August 28, 2011, 5:16 pmunfortunately.. same problem even with driver 275.50 with ori HDD.

this time even crysis 2 would cause BSOD when waking up..

3 years of onsite service? thats a damn good deal I must say..

just sit home and they`ll come service your laptop. unlike me driving all the way to the service centre.. wasting my time and money man..

update on my notebook.. they said something is wrong with memory.. its a DOA case but Im in a hurry... damn it..

I think you mean DX series.

GE620DX is using Elixir brand ram.

From my BSOD, its caused by sleep mode where all the data and etc are stored in the RAM. So it could most probably due to RAM or mainboard`s fault..

@swordsmen,

so did you get to check your unit?

if 3 years onsite.. its a pretty good deal la.. they fix for you on the spot.. you just stay at home.

unfortunately. the S-bar is a must for those icons to work. Personally I kinda like the S-bar. At least unlike Asus with bunch of ATK this ATK that.

Well.. you probably installed too much stuffs at one shot.. Take it slowly.

and if possible, can you test furmark and let the laptop to sleep?

haha.. do a manual update.. choose what you wanna update..

Well.. yeah.. I would like to have more customization on the S-bar as well but I guess there is nothing that can be done.
