yeah.. thats what I thought.. But better to be safe than sorry and find out whos the culprit..

well.. I probably exited the game and GPU usage is still high and that I turn into sleep mode?

but the BSOD happened during sleep mode instead of waking up.. and thats weird..

yeahp.. I did not see it happen because I was in a hurry.. so I just exited the game and pressed sleep and closed the lid and left the computer.

When I got back only realise its BSOD.

errkk.. I am using K-lite Codec Mega Version.. I dont have any problem with movie playbacks.

I suggest you completely remove those codecs and players and install one only.

remove all the bloatwares.. Norton come preinstalled.. and some useless stuffs.. that would make it smooth.. I feel the windows slow as well.. and HDD is damn well the culprit.. I change WD black 7200rpm and everything is much smoother..

If you have the $$$.. go for SSD.

Regarding the unplug charger port. Its the MSI eco-power saving.. try going on the s-bar, there is some options for eco mode or something, it will switch off bluetooth, webcam and wifi when on battery. Change the settings to put whichever you need on when on battery mode.

If you have trouble playing rmvb files, download real alternative codec.

time for some stress test brows.gif

Added on September 6, 2011, 12:01 amJust remove norton.. install MSE or something.. It seriously make the HDD slow..

MSI software makes the HDD operate real slow.. CinemaPro, S-bar, THX Studio and Realtek Audio.. some bluetooth software bla bla

Disable them thru msconfig under startup tab to improve your boot time.

remove whats useless to you.. like you wont use.. like MSI home and other software from MSI.. like updater bla bla..

S-bar you gotta keep.. unless you dont plan to use the fn keys at all lor..

I mean to say disable some startup programmes and services that you wont use until you need it.. like bluetooth, usb 3.0 controller.. and other random softwares which is not essential ones la..

for me intel turbo boost is useless.. just some fancy widget showing the speed boost..

IDK about msi home.. useless to me.. Realtek HD Audio is essential bro.. Lots of settings and controls can be used.

I would only disable its startup

hmm.. I dont even use cd or DVD's to install anymore.. all from ext HDD.. and I make ISO copy of the DVD so I dont have to carry it around..

Note that Music CDs dont use up all the space. whereas games ususally take up the whole disc space.. and you should know reading from disc is always slower compared to USB..

Added on September 6, 2011, 9:54 pmAnd I take the chance here to thank MSI-MY and the customer service department of MSI for helping me solve my issue.

I got a DOA replacement today and it was a quick process thanks to their efficiency!
