henderson now only 21 years old while Aguero 23years old ..comparing a 16million and 38million? come on ,give him time ...not everyone are messi , 19years old already a star
I'm referring to the price tag, son.

Sergio Aguero is way ahead of Henderson when it comes to technical skills. Not bashing but fact. Still hope that he will come good and justify his enormous price tag.

English players FFS.

haha..u noticed it too???..happened several times..at the end downing have to back pass coz no one (enrique) to overlap..the reason???..understanding!!..it will came when they'll played together for several more games nod.gif

i personally think that enrique are tasked to stay back hence limiting the chances of dangerous counter-attack by walcott

QUOTE(Rotuham @ Aug 21 2011, 12:21 AM)
I actually think spearing is a better dm than lucas.Spearing is a high energy player and not afraid to slide in.

So far our defence is really good and i'll go as far as to say that this back 4 is of epl champions material.

I am sad that aquilani is leaving.I rate him higher than adam or lucas. sad.gif

Lucas is more box to box type.
Spearing is just a typical DM.

I reckon aqua should be starting matches, especially ones against 'weaker' teams to open them up.
Hopefully aqua starts against exeter, we can finally field a good team against league cup opposition! smile.gif

KD did is to find the best combination and also backup. We can't always depends on the same player for the whole season. Maybe it is some rotational testing and to see how the combination will work. But I am glad during those combination we manage to play quite ok compare with previous season. Like previous season, we tried hard to have rotation type but at the end it did screwed up, only one type combination workable. So is important in the early season we can find our touch before gearing up for the rest of the season.
I would say there won't be the best first 11 players, only thing is depends what kind of tactic KD is using. So different tactics we have diff combination. Everything will depends the game strategy. Like yesterday game, we manage to swtich to different way of playing. And it proved us right that we manage to play it well.
I still remember how we struggle so hard for the sake to find the best combination during last season.

Really enjoyed the match. It was no cutting edge football by any means, but it was not terrible football either. We were just retrained but i think that's more to do with Kenny wanting to try one or two different things. Loving the fact that we can call Meireles and Suarez off the bench to put the nail on the coffin. It's been a while since we're afforded such luxury.

Performance wise, i thought Carroll and Henderson were the only exceptions to otherwise a good display from the team. But it's not something i'm overly concern with. Lucas had a torrid time adjusting and getting accepted, and look at him now. Carroll too, i hope, will come good. Defensively there were few lapse of concentration here and there but otherwise they were solid. Enrique was very calm, almost too calm for the other's defenders liking lol. He was just composed and looked to play short passes even when under pressure. Good player. Really impressed with the midfield duo of Lucas and Adam. Not the quickest and toughest combo but they were clever to position themselves and were quick turn defense to attack, which was good to see. Downing looked lively and was a very mobile outlet for our mid to distribute the ball to. It was very well balanced side which Arsenal had trouble breaking down.

Overall, we did alright. The team still needs improving and it's soemthing i think we all need to be patient with. Rafa's team did not even peak until his fourth year. That's not to say we're gonna have to wait that long. Just that all teams need to go a certain process to grow before becoming a well oiled machine.

Just press "Ignore" button to that fella. laugh.gif

btw, against Exeter City is a good place to rotate some other player. Such as Aqualani, Spearing, Maxi, Insua, or Sotong. I really hope Dalglish to try out Aqualani.
Best luck to the team. smile.gif

I cant see KD risks injuring Aquilani for a match like this. He would have put him on bench against Arsenal or Sunderland if he want to play him. He wanna keep him fit and sell him off...very obvious...

Same goes to Insua and Poulsen....
