What to do if failed unit a? I got 48 out of 50. can beg lecturer to give 2 marks? or need to retake the whole unit next semester?

Usually, 48 means you didn't meet the hurdle requirement (50%) for the final exams. Do go find your lecturer and review your paper, there could be a marking/summation error. However, before awarding an N grade, it is usually marked by a second marker, so many lecturers will not entertain pleas for extra marks.Fight on, don't worry too much abt it. All the best! |

All the best! it is the NP mark if I am nt mistaken, so you might fail badly in one of the hurdle giving u a maximum mark of 48 or 49 (i forgot what is the NP adi since they revised it recently)... so at times, it is more than a simple 2 marks... |

In this case it's probably 48 for the final mark, you have to ask your course admin whether can u resit the paper or not. or u'd have to retake the unit next semester.
