QUOTE(Home Made Cookies @ May 26 2012, 11:07 PM) Taking comp rep and cost info too.. Heard that we shouldn't overestimate Com Rep and underestimate Cost Info. well..it's not hard...but how long are you going to take to reach it? before 30? 35?40?50? 60? that's the difference Nice tip, thanks for the heads up. Not sure if the Singapore one has or not, do check it out. It's actually not that hard to be a millionaire in Malaysia though. May be I am just being too optimistic. |

QUOTE(johnconnor @ Jun 1 2012, 10:25 AM) Do we have to pay for the Student ID during the first time? Are the laboratory-related fees for engineering students included in the 37k tuition fee? Can any existing Monash students please list out what other fees do I (as an engineering student) have to pay upon enrollment of my course? I'm pretty sure Monash charges "Library Resource Fee" or the likes but I couldn't find it on this website. Yes. Everything is included in the 37k. No hidden fees. You only need to pay an extra rm100 every semester for general fees. Thank you! QUOTE(whoareyou @ Jun 3 2012, 06:35 PM) how many students are there in engineering?are all engineering courses male-dominated?are there any girls in engineering ?i am g girl btw.. Yes there are but very few. |

QUOTE(satsugai @ Aug 4 2012, 12:47 AM) yeah, but come assignment time, its gonna be a major pain in the ass lol. Especially the whole 3 hour max borrowing rule. doesn't work for ipods or iphones though. anybody tried it with Android OS yet?this is the website : webprint.monash.edu.my its not too bad i suppose, but still, a pain compared to the old system. I do appreciate the increase in the number of laptops though, helps when im doing stuff outside the library, but nothing beats the classic pc for hardcore assignmenting imo XD on another note, anyone here running for musa or planning to run for musa this sem? lol |

QUOTE(thyrsus @ Sep 25 2012, 04:21 AM) But if I fail my papers, I can retake them for sure, right? Just wondering do I have to pay the full fees for the unit? And say, if I got a HD after resitting the paper, do I get a HD or a just a P? not really... some units offer you a supplementary paper and i think the highest grade you can go is pass or credit (not sure about the credit part).. some units you have to repeat the next semester/year and you have to pay full fees and for this you can get HD.. |

QUOTE(VanYJS @ Sep 28 2012, 05:28 PM) Hey guys. I need y'all to help me out on this. Well I just got my Ielts result recently. Unfortunately, one of my individual band couldn't meet 6.0:( For the other three bands I scored higher than 6.0. My overall score met their requirement, which is 6.5. I was just wondering whether they treat English as a very important requirement or what. Could I make any appeals for this kinda case? Oh yea, I wish to go for Food Science in Monash Sunway. Not really. seems like you can already get in with a good grade in SPM GCE o levels english.Cheers |

QUOTE(SRLee @ Oct 2 2012, 11:19 PM) Because not every Australian prefers Australia's lifestyle. well, if you don't join the constant partying or trying to find time to work part time, the changes of the season, i dont see the difference in life style. maybe i am wrong. I want to study in Malaysia but it seems illogical to do so. why do you want to study in malaysia? technically its more expensive here but having said that Aussie dollars is quite strong also lar. |

QUOTE(SRLee @ Oct 2 2012, 11:42 PM) It is distinctly different, the Australian lifestyle and Malaysian lifestyle. In my opinion, I feel Australia is more suited towards older people ready to retire, or the older working-class people. Malaysia is more for the young and energetic. However, I stress that this is my opinion and I know there are many people that prefer the Australian lifestyle. ohhh. have you been to Malaysia before? well you could at least try to apply to Sunway i dont think there should be any problems getting admitted if your results make the grade.I want the Malaysian lifestyle, that's why I want to study in Malaysia. The only thing more expensive is the fees (but not by much). Everything else (food, entertainment and accommodation) is cheaper by far, not to mention of higher quality (to me, at least). Added on October 3, 2012, 12:16 am QUOTE(VanYJS @ Oct 2 2012, 11:49 PM) Oh okay I'll try. Btw do you have friends who have met this kinda case before? Does appeal work? I'm just kinda worry because I really hope to get into Monash Yeap. I have a friend who appealed before and got in the course This post has been edited by zstan: Oct 3 2012, 12:16 AM |

QUOTE(SRLee @ Oct 3 2012, 12:19 AM) Yes I have been in Malaysia before. In fact, I have only recently migrated to Australia. well, that entirely depends on what type of degree you are referring to. critical courses like medicine n pharmacy then may not be entirely recognised... for business and art degrees there shouldnt be a problem if you have PR (visa problems) and you are doing good.I did consider Sunway. Are degrees in Sunway recognized in Australia in general? I do not want to rule out staying in Australia in the future. If possible, I want to be able to choose where I want to live in. This is why I prefer Monash because it's an Australian university. |
