hmm i'm so bad at this..lol..

I downloaded titanium backup free version, installed and appeared in my apps list

then i proceed to buy the pro version, and uninstalled the free version

now i cant find the titanium pro at my apps list. it's still shown as installed under task manager..

how do i make it appear in the list again?
*
Pro "version" is just and unlock key. You need the free one to "unlock" lol.

The good:
1) It's 1320mah of extra power.
2) Cutouts are all super.
3) Well built.

The bad:
1) It's morphie priced.
2) MHL accessories CANNOT be used.
3) It charges slowly and THAT IS NOT RECONFIGURABLE.
4) It's made out of smooth, easy to scratch plastic.
5) Crap front protection (ala Exogear batt cases).

The ugly:
1) THERE IS NO "OFF" BUTTON.

Seriously Samsung, I'm using this because PowerSkin has nothing for the SGS2 yet. But you're practically screwed if they do and it's 2000mah - for less.

thats why we call them overpriced. features are not standard with the price. even now iphone 4 16gb is expensive than sgs2. wtf lol a phone released last year like that.
*
User experience overall is still smoother and more uniform on the i4, I gotta admit. Plus the market and some stuff you can get from JBing that even Android lacks (uhm Activatorrrrrrrrr!), and theming was easier too.

But yes, it's overpriced, main reason I didn't get another one after I lost mine. Plus I initially wanted to try Android so I could diss it, turns out life in the green camp is not so bad after all - so I'm staying put for now.

Unless the i5 is UBER magical lol.

iphone 5 only have few upgrades. A5 dual core chips, bigger screen and whats the other one i forgot. otherwise its completely the same. even my UK friend who is a hardcore Apple fan said iphone 5 is pointless. waited a year for a same device.

i see u really leaning towards iphone. about uniformity, yes i agree and i myself like to make my stuff organized and uniform. but to be able to control what i want is the best for me. biggrin.gif

i always used my gf iphone 4 too and i know what you mean.
yay! i told my gf too and yeah she's unhappy of course. but thats long time ago, when i have my Desire and told her the same thing. hihi and she's kinda merajuk and i never told her that again.  cool.gif

btw guys, know anyone that sells the MHL cable?
*
You want an MHL cable? I can help... brows.gif

But about the i4, there are really only 6 things I really miss:

1) Retina display - Yea it's small, but you can use it to chop onions. Colour is crap in comparison to SAMOLED+ though.

2) Activator - OH COME ON ANDROID DEVS? How hard can it be to have an app that actively remaps your gestures and button long presses? Android is a multitasking OS lah woi.

3) Sound Quality - Say what you will, but SQ wise (though headphones) the SGS 2 is just another phone, not up to par.

4) Air Freaking Video - UNTIL Qloud Media can actually play something through 3G or VLC direct gains auto-auth, they're crap compared to AV.

5) The battery life - bla bla bla EDGE, bla bla bla JuiceDefender. Truth is it just doesn't compare. To be fair though, it's an underclocked single core (i4) vs an adjustable to whatever you want dual-core, so I'm just gonna b**** about Sammy's idiot decision to try to make the phone "svelte" rather then throw in a REAL (say, 2000mah) battery. I MEAN, I'm using the freaking battery pack and ONLY NOW does it feel normal in my hands, thickness wise. WHAT IN THE BLAZES WERE YOU THINKING SAMSUNG.

6) The backlit sensor - Yes we can take 1080i vids. Yes we can take a picture and print a banner out of it. But unlike the i4 (and the Arc), the SGS2 pisses in low light conditions.

Besides these 5, Samsung spanks Apple's ass real good. And that's a fact. DO I REGRET GETTING THE SGS2? Never.

Hi guys. I have a question hope you guys can help me answer.

I installed Exynos Extreme 3.4 in previous 3.3 version my Tegrak is worknig fine. Now in this new version, it says my device is not supported. Did I do anything wrong?

How can I get it worknig back? Uninstalling doesn't seem to work.

*p/s while waiting, I am actually wiping cache and dalvik and hoping some miracle will happen.

So please advise guys! sad.gif
*
Maybe it's using a custom kernel that doesn't support tegrak (like Ninpo's). I myself use SETCPU for UVs now.

It's official, the battery pack adds about 3 hours of screen on heavy use time. Which translates to 5-6 hours extra on medium use.

Okayyyy lah. Now where's the PowerSkin 2000mah case?

Heavily modded Zeebug only. Trying to build an orange black theme to match my new watch (haha), maybe I'll release my current mod when that one is done.

But really, you can do your own in the UOT Kitchen what?

I hate to requote myself lol but if anyone knows tips on using multi batteries and how to calibrate all properly do help out.. im worried use 1980mah but phone detects as 1650 only so quite wasted

No idea, BUT Samsung seems to be planning an official 2000mah INTERNAL battery pack for the phone (with a freakin full flat back), so it must be supported either inherently or through a future OS upgrade.

MAYBE.

Besides, I say again how in terms of batteries, I trust nobody besides Momax, Sedio and Mugen. And I've been having this battery discussion since my N900 days (Sunpower BL5J +400mah batteries with the same size - unless some Chinese factory have found out how to shrink electrons, pfft yeah right).

seriously? no hunchback with 2000mah from Samsung? I'll definitely get this one no matter how much it cost! i'll be using this phone a 2-3 years maybe so yeah biggrin.gif
*
Yeah, flat and level with the hump at the bottom back, ALTHOUGH, it has also come to my attention that this WAS mentioned on Mobile-Review as one of the projects that Samsung CONSIDERED IN THE PAST before giving birth to the battery case monstrosity that I have right now.

So right now the ball is entirely in their court. Myself I'm hoping more that the SGS2 would appear in the US ALREADY so that PowerSkin can finally out a PROPER battery case for us.

It's either that or a bulge 3000mah battery + modded tpu case for me.

Added on July 26, 2011, 5:10 amI'm also getting considerably better WIFI performance with the KG3 modem compared to the KE4 I was using before.

Which is strange, as the modem isn't supposed to have ANYTHING to do with wifi performance.

Have been chain flashing Modems to test, seems that for me, best modem is a tie between KE4 (best 3G performance, slightly bad wifi) and KF2 (good 3G, good WIFI).

Both KG1 and KG2 were really bad at holding on to 3G in low coverage areas. WIFI on KG2 was the best tested so far tho.

What's strange is actually the Modem files should only influence the performance of the cellular comms, not WIFI. Maybe it comes with different sets of base net configs (TCP whatever) as well.

@Nicregi: Anything that kills logcat and mods the way the system takes stats for "performance" is dubious in my book.

I'm still stuck at VR2.0 (KG1) for the lack of anything substantially better on KG3. Plus, my fave theme is no longer being made for VR anyway, and I'm actually waiting for the RomKitchen to open.

Yeah, random apps FCs from one rare occasion to another, but no reboots, no quirky SYSTEM behaviour, nothing. So, unless KG4 brings magical fixes, I see no reason to upgrade lol.

With the pack, I'm already getting a full day's work use from VR2.0 + SetCPU Profiles and UC/UV + KF2 Modem (tested everything, sticking to this one now) + Nymph Kernel 2.0.2 + JD. So now very malas to upgrade to anything lol, except maybe flashing the latest Nymph when it's available.

I guess I'm just not a serial flasher haha.

Still figuring out how to make my own themes though, I have a hankering for Orange right now.

anyone using spare battery here? i mean the one that really fits the sg2 without having the bump on the back, that kind of spare battery. just made my payment to hye. should arrive tomorrow. should i wait or should i just straight away use it? if so, how do my pattern should go? other than the fridge method got anything else? i mean pattern of using both of the battery.
*
Fridge method? LMAO, what's that?

I have a spare + anymode battery charger/stand I got from exportprive. I use one, keep one in the charger/stand and slip into my pocket, change and charge both as necessary at the end of the day (I have a boatload of MicroUSB chargers, mostly Nokia AC10X high output ones, best 1200ma charger I know).

Also, this allows me to charge one at my desk while using the other. The Anymode charger/stand is a GREAT accessory because of this and the fact that it's compact enough to be pocketable, also there's space in the case's batt compartment for me to carry a small guitar pick too (I have NO nails, so opening the SGS2 battery compartment is TORTURE for me without the guitar pick).

Not having nails is also the reason why I use a battery case, rather then just using 4 packs of spare batteries. It's undoubtedly an expensive solution, but a solution nonetheless.

Flash KE4/KF2/KG1 modem. Problem should go away.

@john: Read the above. Also, you're on stock ROM right? If not check your kernel. Speedmod has wifi issues. Nymph seems fine on KF2.
