will it wipe all my data in my phone?..or it just update the firmware..i see some say it wipe, but some say dont..so a bit confuse here..

now still downloading...6 hours to go..

I just got one for RM120 but dont know original or not. Few shop i ask got different price. Some RM200, 250 and even RM280.

Anyone know how to check original battery.?

yeah normal. every smartphone have this. my Desire always got more heating than sgs2 everytime i use GPS. way too hot. never experience it yet on sgs2 but it still survived so why sgs2 wont survive? dont compare your c7, no good comparison lor~~

plus it is the thinnest smartphone, as i said, heat if felt faster than other thicker smartphones. thicker phones does the same thing, except they got transmitted slower to our hands.

Upgrading full stock firmware will wipe your data. I flash mine to XXKG1 and all my apps, msg and contact gone.
Luckily i've done backup. You better do it too :-P

lor why 6 hours to go~~ so slow meh? what connection you use.

and btw, if you flash the KG2 update, it wont wipe unless you did lor~~ backup everything first(sd card or internal no need as they wont get wiped). No need to wipe actually, unless you coming from custom rom. and also, if you got any problem after that, wiping is necessary. so as always, nandroid backup.

@weaver - i never got my stuffs wiped without me doing so manually, unless the rom has the script that tells it to. i think you flashed the wipe version of the Darky's rom. the one that kazama links doesnt wipe it a.k.a intratech version.

They got 32GB but cost RM230. Thought i better take the 16GB + 1 battery ~~lol~~

i did on my first day i got my phone. about 5 days ago. yes, my sgs2 still new and i flashed stuff and know pretty much everything.

it wont give you any options, in the clockwork mod recovery there is the option. well if you dont have cwm, then no need to worry lor, just update without wipe, cuz thats how updates should be.

currently using official update for my aunt's samsung galaxy ace. if no Gingerbread yet have to use ODIN to make hers 2.3.3

I see. Besides, I think Google Navigation using forced apk in system/data also not working for MIUI.

Skpye video call on wifi is working well. Even Samsung Music hub is working as long as you fake ME.

I've rooted with Odin & SuperOneClick using CF-Root v4.1

Then flashed with litening rom 3.0

What's the next step i should do? do a back-up using CWM? Reboot into CWM recovery?

yes..i root using CF-root..so I have CWM installed..but still don't know how to use CWM ..i google nandroid backup and found the following..how to press ALT-B for backup?

Performing a NANDROID Backup
At this point you should backup your phone via NANDROID

1 Turn your phone off.
2 Hold Home, press Power button to boot into Recovery Mode
3 Press ALT+B to start the backup.
4 Once the backup has completed press Home + Back

My bad girl on KG1 not KG2. Just want to feel stok 2.3.4 KG1 first for a few days before go for KG2. Want to see the difference :-)

I got a question about e warranty, when i ask the sales person at senheng to sms the warranty, he told me no nid cos' just bring receipt to claim warranty. What should i do, i read u get sms from samsung for the warranty?
