hahah thanks ! i'm not used to android yet. how to sync contacts? it messes up my fb and my real contacts @.@ most of my fb friends dont put contacts in their profile and it doesnt show up

eh....when u first switch on the phone, it will ask u to enter a google account. after verify, it will ask u to check or uncheck on some sync option (4get ady), then it will started to sync based on ur option. u also can changed the option by go to setting -> accounts and sync ->select the acount u wan to sync

yeah i didnt use google, i use my fb to sync

Since x5 is UI is very plain. For those who are like me - just want to stick to the stock ROM while waiting for a stable one, but feel inadequate while comparing with colleague's Galaxy Ace. Just wanted to share some experience on enhancing X5. I found that

Go Launcher Ex make the UI much more easily to navigate around.
1. the original home screen the dock can put only 3 item (call, menu and web) --> now i can customize 5 item, and slide to left to add 5 more, slide to right to add 5 more, total 15 applications on the dock.
2. When press the middle menu button (app drawer), now i can slide left-right (instead of up-down). And i can see information like 'running programs', free/total RAM etc
3. Feel smoother than the original launcher.

Go contacts also improves my experience
1. The stock dialer doesn't have GROUP function (Galaxy Ace has) to categorise my contacts and assign different ringtone to different groups. Now i can manage them easily
2. Go contacts support T9 search/ dialing.

Pls share your 'inadequate feeling' towards x5 and things you've done to make it friendlier and more efficient.

u need to sign in the google account, if not a lot of application cannot use...

i know. i just created but still, i find it a bit complicating, some of my fb friends who doesnt have numbers in their profile doesn't show up in my contacts.

BTW, what should I do on the first charge? Do and Don'ts?

haha, i also newbie for this phone (last week only), have to try very things, go to market download some application (free ), battery charge 8 hours and then test your youtube can watch or not. and then connect to wireless see can connect or not. then camera and video. i can say that camera and video very clear....
for the contact phone list they help me transfer from old phone and sim card to ths new phone, so i don't know how to do this. they made for me...lol
if u need to lock phone just press the top button only, unlock, finger press to right

what happens if i charge more than 8 hours? lets say, 12? Is there an app that makes my camera better? I feel that taking pics is too long and the vid is too shaky

i dont know if more than 8 hours (1st time only), i think won't be any problem, it will auto cut down......for video and camera part i just using default app. what they gave me....if u need other need go to market download other or refer others people app. like this http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1400511
