would appreciate all your recommendations. am looking to replace my VAIO.

Brand: either toshiba, HP or Asus. will consider sony too

budget: up to 4.5k

specs: i7 quad core preferable because i want the speed but don't want the overheat at the same time if possible. must have very good sound system. no need for 3d. 4-6GB ram. 15-15.6inch screen. weight below 3kg would be preferable.

was considering these ones:

Toshiba satellite P745 (but not quad core right?)
Toshiba Qosmio F750
HP Pavilion DV6-6114TX
one of the Asus N53 series (N53SV or N53SN)

which one of the above has the best specifications and which would be the most recommended?

hi guy's n gurl's.. i need to get a new laptop as my pervious one just K.O

so can u sugest me any laptop, im a final year industrial engineering student, i want my laptop capable to run Catia and cad-cam software, in my mind now,
1. Brand. asus, dell, toshiba (or u can sugest me)
2. Budget. max rm2250 (cant more than this)
3. Specs. 2nd gen i5 or i7, with grafic card suporting 128 bit,
4. Size. more better if 15.6inch

Added on July 30, 2011, 2:43 pmyes, i7 is quad core.... and prob that make you cant stand easy is its heat even it underload... still produce much heat even u jz browsing and do typing... so it make u uneasy...
the best option there is HP dv6... all i7 but the gpu is better than others.. comes with gddr5 hd 6770...


if dont mid, top up a lil, can get G53Sw, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GTX460M + Bluray RW@RM4999,

all these 15-16" is below 3kg but almost 3kg

im saw asus model A53SV-SX053V selling @ rm2200, however i dont know either this is a good shot for me as im really noob in compu stuff..

so what do u think about this Asus A53SV-SX053V.. i dont want to regret after buy, that y need sugestion from all sifu's

But which one to choose depends largely on what you'll be using the laptop for.
I would recommend the Jay Chou Asus N43SL instead. Its an all rounder, and the speakers are great
If not, then the normal N43SL, the specs is exactly the same apart from the design and the lack of USB3.0
