Its just the 18-200 FX version, no big deal. Don't expect great optics out of it as an all rounder.

very sharp already wink.gif

Does VR work in video recording? or it reduce the vibration a little?
*
generally yes. at least for canon lah haha

just switch the off and on button when recording , for telephoto the result is much significant smile.gif

Focusing is horrible on that body unfortunately, which is why the D3 triumph over it with the stellar AF performance under low light for sports.[cool.gif

*
People can use 1dmark two for few years, more than d700 until now. Yet they still shoot good picture smile.gif

Dont think this lens is for insect. Its more appropriate for stuff in a control environment. First thing come to my mind:

Nenedoroid. Hahahha
*
Good for you then. smile.gif

I got 35mm f/2 AF which has pretty impressive MFD with 0.25m only !
paired up with my +4 close up filter is quite nice to take nendoroid photo biggrin.gif

Haha of course la, mainly use the macro lens for flowers , insects,

macro lens focus throw is too long thus focus very slow.

but then since we can use close up fitler to close up, macro lens isn't necessary for casual close up shooter IMO.

Err, even when shooting at 1:1, you still need close up filter or extension tube for smaller objects.
*
that is why canon MP-E65mm 1-5x super macro lens comes in handy brows.gif

Not only it produce 1:1 but up to 5:1 shocking.gif

But then, those are for extremist, I doubt most of the normal people do used up until 1:1 all the time sweat.gif

i'm confuse to buy which lens for travelling.

right now i'm using 50f1.8D because its small and light.
but i dont fancy this lense because its hard for me to shoot for landscape photo.

what's in my mind right now is nikkor AF-S 16-85 f3.5-5.6 VR  or the AF-
S 18-200 VR .which one is better? i read some reviews, but still couldnt decide. or is there any good 3rd party lenses?
*
will get the 16-85 anytime.
18-200 IQ isnt as great as the 16-85 anyway.

but I will think twice again and get 17-50 f/2.8 Tamron smile.gif

*
