QUOTE(jchue73 @ Sep 20 2011, 05:16 PM) That one is AF-D. Slow. I would at least get the AF-S Mk 1 or Mk 2 (non VR) version. ya, cos i was remotely interested in that 300mm.YL Camera will have these type of lenses from time to time. Currently, there is the AF-S 400mm f/2.8 (non VR) for sale at RM 17,800 (nego). Wah... Somebody's diligently watching. I think you can find better copies of the older AF version on Ebay. but the scratches were abit visible from the pics previously posted, i'm taking a wild guess that i think shashinki may have had the front element polished to change the minor scratches to hairline anyway 300mm f/4 is still a more sensible purchase, rm3.9k brand new |

QUOTE(hidden830726 @ Sep 20 2011, 10:23 PM) Well no heavy rain today, only drizzle. so is the 17-55 worth the money? Tried 17-55 f/2.8 with my D5100, taking some pics for the company i work who participated, the lens is heavier than the body. With Speedlite, have to hold real hard to the smallbody due to the weight. Very nice to use lens. Really learn alot today having chat with those press / event photographer. Inspired stuff. Thanks. btw, i also find its slightly unbalance even on a D7000, thats why got battery grip. |

QUOTE(Andy214 @ Sep 21 2011, 10:22 AM) That's why I was surprised when I first read which was the 'best' lens 24-70 has slightly smaller diameter, but is longer.I was also surprised, was at Nikon BTS that day with Calvin, he mounted the 24-70 on the D5100, while I have 17-55 on the D7K, somehow, the 24-70mm looks thinner and smaller. 28-70 is a different story http://www.flickr.com/photos/44722217@N03/4291259056/ |
