speed fan is used by me last time, but i would not recommend using software to maxout ur fans unless u r using a desktop. why?- because changeing our lappie fan is a pain and the faster it turn, more grease is used, means the fan brushes will wear down and make very loud noise in the future. but stll u can use it if u change lappie every 2/3 yrs U3 fits the N53sn, if ur 14 inch then u2. any pirated fan system will not cool n53sn/s properly due o the air vents location. tats if ur fan is a 7inch model. If u r savvy enuf, jack the lappie back by 2 cm, and at the air exhaust put 2 desktop 3inch fan, put em toghether 2 pull air away, power by usb, and it cools very very efficiently. why? i did it with my friend broken fans. soo efficient that he took it back for his lappie.. bros,
i just bought a 2nd hand n53sv. i feel it is kind of slow and i thought maybe the previous owner delete too many things that cause it to be that way, so i decided to reformat and reinstall windows 7
but i am not aware of the recovery thing that asus has (know that later). so i use my own windows 7 installation disc and install. what i did is during installation, i delete the drive containing the original windows7. the installation goes on smoothly BUT .... after everything install, the notebook keep on non stop rebooting
so need your help here

QUOTE(Trance4eva @ Sep 19 2011, 06:36 PM) is it safe though? when i used the "automatically find drivers for my NVIDIA product" in their site, i got this message: The manufacturer of this system requires that you download the driver for your GPU from their support site.
The GeForce M series and GeForce Go series notebook GPUs use drivers that have been customized by the notebook manufacturers to support hot key functions, power management functions, lid close and suspend/resume behavior. NVIDIA has worked with some notebook manufacturers to provide notebook-specific driver updates, however, most notebook driver updates must come from the notebook manufacturer. Additionally, the desktop GeForce graphics drivers will not install on Geforce M series and Quadro M series notebook GPU's.however, the driver in the ASUS homepage hasnt been updated for a while

^ 1. Edit the inf file yourself to include your GPU 'hardware ids'. Google on how to. 2. Find a modded inf from laptopvideo2go.com. 3. Head to N55SF thread V3 post 7 for a complete instructions.

Try looking at CoolerMaster Notepal U3 thanks bro. will consider (note : seldom do gaming) btw, i think there is something wrong with my notebook. opening a website (either chrome or IE) is extremely slow definitely not my internet speed cause i have other PC which are fast and also with speed test, my result is ping - 30ms, d/l : 3mbps any possible reason for this? fyi, i already reformat and reinstall windows using the recovery still like this note : no background things running This post has been edited by brotan: Sep 20 2011, 12:28 PM
