N53SN for the price and design
N55SF for the GPU and speakers

According to another forum, most of the earlier batch of N53S have "low quality" speakers. Thats why most of the users here experience sound distortion at volume and settings.
This N53SN batch maybe have better speakers??? who knows
N55SF i think would have the same speakers with N53SN but with additional subwoofer.

i would trade off the N55SF for a N53SN + RM500 to get a way better sound system ....but loose portability for the subwoofer la
For me the GT550M is great for gaming and i know the GT555M is good too but not that good. That's whr desktop GPU comes in.
Looking at today's tech, i think both GT550M and GT555M might last for another 2 or 3 years before we have to set future games at the lowest graphic

Honestly......if you want your laptop to be fast, you should reduce the usage of software for daily usage cause obviously the more stuff you install, the slower your com gets unless you always maintain the registry, temp files etc.

Just get
CCleaner (use this to often clean registry)
TuneUP utility (paid version if possible cause they only offer trials)
MSE if u dun want other AV
ALL CPU Meter + core temp (windows gadget)
Drives Meter(windows gadget)
Network Meter(windows gadget)
Battery Monitor(windows gadget)


none of them are for daily usage except MSE
like what lee said....they are for troubleshooting, testing ur com speed etc

core i series cannot Overclock or underclock. They have Intel Turbo Boost for that
so i dun think there's a point getting ThrottleStop

Never had problems with Optimus b4
As for ATK, scratching my head how to solve it when got it the 1st week. After that no more problem.
The only problem i have is the leftover the bloatware leave and.......having a Seagate HDD

PS: Latest BIOS can improve Optimus respond

some1 with a n43sl can last till 8hrs le while mine only 5hrs++

try cleaning your registry and have you delete the bloatwares???

i wifi + browsing + constant dling + music on the whole time for 5hrs still can wor

because your youtube-ing and while ur doing that ur laptop use Nvidia GPU and that consumes more power obviously......and also watching video obviously consume more power whichever GPU ur using.....

that is definitely not super saving then.....cause ur USB broadband is drawing more power compared to the onboard Wireless Card
