my ASUS N43JF sometimes run games with the integrated graphic , why eh ?
*
dunno...ask google laugh.gif
jkjk

some games require low graphic performance so that's why Optimus suggested using the intergrated graphics. You can change this setting by right clicking on the game (make sure the shortcut is at the desktop)> Run with graphic processor>High Performance Nvidia

you can permanently set the game to run by Nvidia or permanently set all app to run with Nvidia. To do this just go the Nvidia control panel

omg, lucky i no flash.. well sure ke?then y they post on the drivers list to update?.. and what happen if asus update update the bios... then dielor..
i think sc can repair.. they direct run the hardware by plugging in something. cuz they check my hardware etc when i was @ the sc.
*
when i was flashing my BIOS, they said "warning, changing BIOS may void warranty" doh.gif

BIOS are always updated, sometimes it works well, sometimes....well....spoils the mobo.
If you look at those Overclockers mobo from Asus, when the BIOS fail, they can just insert a thumbdrive (with BIOS inside) and then everything is install back to normal.
Unfortunately i dun think our mobo is those high end type laugh.gif

It's possible SC will help to fix.....but i doubt they will replace it

hi everyone,
new Asus N43SL owner here

there are few questions that would like to clarify
1) the noise of optical drive when starting the lappy is quite noisy... before the ASUS logo shows in the screen... anyone have this situation?

2) saw that some says that by updating BIOS of N43SL, it can last up to 8 hours battery, is it true? can specify which BIOS version is that??

3) another silly question, how to check my boot time? any program to detect it?

4) my lappy seem a bit slow and around 90 processes running, how to make it faster/reduce number of processes running?

regards
*
1)it's normal cause sometimes it enable and disable the optical drive. When it does that it make sound.

2) Can download latest BIOS at Asus web. Just search for your laptop model and click download

3) Download BootTimer.

4) Follow the guide on the 1st page.

1) 74 sec is..........really slow laugh.gif . If you see my BootTimer on the 1st page it says 41secs. To be more accurate, when the window pops out, quickly press RUN cause the time is still running

2) Better ask someone who owns a N43SL cause simply updating BIOS is really risky....and sometimes rewarding

Yap, I factory default back my c drive. si the Oboron game park is back as well  yawn.gif
I've uninstalled trendmicro, live update, smart logon, asus webstorage, virtual camera & some others which cant recall...
Only the game park... ... thinking to uninstall it, but dono how to do... ...

Another question here, is there anyway I can keep the Asus "recovery particion" if I choose to clean install a fresh Win7? Now I have C: & D:, where they keep the "recovery particion" file?
Hi Aztechx, I did try to use windows system restore when I have problem after uninstall the Game Park. But it cant solve the problem, and ends up I used restore partician... ...
*
just uninstall using the control panel as usual. Uninstall those game one by one. After ur done, use CCleaner (download first and install) to clean ur registry and ur done....

If u wanna keep ur recovery partition......just burn the recovery partition on 5 dvd's via Asus AI recovery ( thats the 1st thing u should do when u get a laptop btw). After that reformat and install Windows 7 using another CD
also the recovery partition is HIDDEN to refrain user to temper with it.......

by the way, what do u mean by backup/restore point?im tempted to remove the bloatwares but seems a bit worried that something might go wrong in the process..
*
removing bloatwares is really the important thing u should do.
My advise to you is do a reformat to factory default as some bloatwares are not there....but still got la

then follow the guide on the 1st page...

see i already set like this, but when i double click on the .exe to game, it will not run nvidia. i have to right click on the .exe, -> run as nvidia only able to play in nvidia. so kek?
*
well the thing is....ur actually running the launcher in Nvidia.....which is totally not necessary. Ur suppose to run the game in Nvidia not the launcher/menu.

That launcher launch the game or launch a menu btw???
