do it in a clean aircond room la...less dust...
or you can also cover the exposed phone with cling film (or any plastic).
but the amount of time your touch screen and lcd are exposed is very short. so the chances of dust got stuck in there is minimal (unles you repair next to construction site, on the beach, or smoking while repairing  biggrin.gif ). more time will be spent on unscrewing the casing and putting them back together.

but, dont touch the lcd screen with bare hand, nanti got fingerprint. hold the lcd on its sides.

Hey guys, guess what just happened to me today doh.gif

phone was dusty as i was in workshop, gave it a rinse under a tap and after awhile condensation started to occur, then the screen starts dying, then the power key and volume keys stops responding. Calls, digitizer, vibration all working. After about an hour or so the screen and buttons started coming to life. Now the phone had been sent to PhoneWorx for the FIFTH time already in it's lifespan doh.gif

1st time warranty faulty earpiece.
2nd time service broken screen
3rd time when i collect the phone there was tool marks on the bezel
4th time water entered from the earpiece
5th time water entered from god knows where on the bottom doh.gif

i did the rooting part with superoneclick 2.3.3
then i used 2ndinit...
then i did factory wipe, then do the cache wipe...
install cm7 from sd & i reboot the phone...

later it show error 09:10 err:05,xx,xx,xx,xx

it wont show the boot menu & it stuck there...

so i had to reinstall back the sbf files using the rsd app...

try again, but this time try wipe cache and dalvik cache before and after flash cm7.

i dont know whether it will work because i dont have defy+, but there's no harm trying :-)

and make sure your cm7 file is complete...last time my friend having trouble to flash cm7 on his htc...turned out the cm7 file didnt download completely...
