QUOTE(kysham @ Nov 23 2011, 01:50 PM) dem...! I dropped my Defy today and the screen started showing small black dots in the center portion of the screen. Can't really take a photo of it as it is too small to show up, unless I use my DSLR, which I'm lazy to use. Welcome to the screen club. Prepare to send it in for warranty. |

As for Salim's case, i experienced it before with my old SE K550i. Starts with 2 or 3 dots in the middle. Grew to a black spot covering 60% of the screen. |

QUOTE(salimbest83 @ Nov 24 2011, 03:28 PM) Its the same la. When water droplets flow over the screen, its like our fingers moving over it. Water conducts electricity too. Just like the human body. QUOTE Capacitive Capacitive touchscreen of a mobile phone Main article: Capacitive sensing A capacitive touchscreen panel consists of an insulator such as glass, coated with a transparent conductor such as indium tin oxide (ITO).[11][12] As the human body is also an electrical conductor, touching the surface of the screen results in a distortion of the screen's electrostatic field, measurable as a change in capacitance. Different technologies may be used to determine the location of the touch. The location is then sent to the controller for processing. Unlike a resistive touchscreen, one cannot use a capacitive touchscreen through most types of electrically insulating material, such as gloves; one requires a special capacitive stylus, or a special-application glove with finger tips that generate[citation needed] static electricity. This disadvantage especially affects usability in consumer electronics, such as touch tablet PCs and capacitive smartphones in cold weather. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Touchscreen#Capacitive |

i've using cm7 7.1.11 for a week after shifting from cmiui, and my experience are:
-much more stable, less to none freezing occur -better battery life -the definitely phone feels faster and less sluggish, but quadrant score is lower than cmiui |
