Added on October 16, 2011, 12:28 pmis it applicable to CM7.1 also? it bet it same rite coz last time with sony X8 i tried many roms.. and finally stick to GDX coz its stability and less bug! Hi, i want to seek advice. i plan to update my moto defy to froyo using the official update. How is the update? it make better or worse?

froyo is definitely better, but gingerbread is even much better, although only way is root and use custom ROM

root will void warranty rite?
let say defy got broken part and need to rma, can un-root it back rite? Added on October 17, 2011, 1:21 amflashed to CM7.1 and i can record video in Wide mode! Added on October 17, 2011, 1:46 amok now i think wanna try MIUI... what is latest MIUI rom? is it 1.10.14? is it stable? any recommended version of MIUI known for less bug and stability? yesterday, i tested defy charging with multi-charger (RM15 -cheap charger that have multi phone socket type), seems not charging even leave it for 5-6 hours aredy
 how bout u guys? tested it be4? or my Defy onli not charging  |

How is the update? it make better or worse? last time i also updated from eclair to froyo supplied by motorola...regretted it...the froyo os ate the battery kow2...and it turned a perfectly good camera and gallery apps into almost unusable...i survived with froyo for a few weeks before migrated to miui...but even miui camera and gallery apps are not as good as the ones on eclair....the only thing that i feel is the main strength of motorola's froyo over eclair is the ability to install to sd card... my 2 cents... |

with froyo 2.2 stock rom i can use app call "No Lock" to use volume rocker to unlock screen without press power button..
but in CM7.1, look like no lock cant do the same.. need to press power button... any steps to use volemu rocker as unlock screen button? |
