All those things are not hard to learn.. First u need to know what u're going to install into ur car.. Then u go find out the fundamentals of it.. Do research kaw kaw before u install.. U'll never regret it..

Now, usually ppl who do bolt on turbo on their car are performance-crazy. So they want the most out of their car while ignoring reliability. And bolt on turbo can make ur engine unreliable as the original parts are not meant to be turbocharged. Turbo creates a lot of heat, and without the right parts (down to the pistons, turbines), ur engine won't last u more than 80-100k KMs.

Last time I wanted to get a 406 & make it look real nice. Remove everything, repaint it to Honda's Nighthawk Black Pearl, slap on some 18 inch rims, get LED tail lamps & HID spotlights, tint it to the darkest (yet legal), and get a set of exhaust system.

But then after thinking bout the parts.. Malas lah..

Yeah i wanted to get 406 in the start first.. But surveyed about it and the maintenance is super high and the spare parts are really hard to get..

Turbocharging is not that simple. (Well of course it's simple if u just go to a modder & get a BoT kit & ask them to install, but the real work behind it & the parts needed will boggle ur mind.) I doubt u'll be able to find a set of suitable pistons (Proton has yet to release any turbocharged engines based on our Campro), so u'll need to customize some forged pistons. These pistons aren't cheap, and they must be made specifically to suit our engines well.

my dad once drove a 405 95" and he like it but the maintenance is very expensive so after 2 years he changed to a volvo s70 and from then onwards he's now driving his 3rd volvo already. haha

Wah. In what sense dropping? Volvo cars are still very refined IMHO. Sat in the new S60 once, never wanna get out of it. So filled with all the goodies lah. But out of my budget..

my dad is driving the 2009 s80. and his car is having quite a few problem in terms of engine and also the noise insulation is kinda bad. and his previous volvo which is the s60, they had to change the whole engine for him after 1 and half year down the road as the whole engine got jammed up.

Currently? An E46 M3 can still cost above RM 240-300k depending on spec, the E92 around RM 500-600k for a recon unit.

a 2nd hand 3 year old volvo can be cheaper by 80 to 100k depending on the condition of the car.

Thats because Toyota & Proton don't cost as much as them. If u can manage to get a Toyota model that's RM 350k here, 3 years time u'll lose RM 100k also.
