maybe your not used to the acceleration yet.i test drive the golf tsi today and its really something to get use to in terms of fast response acceleration and the hard superb brakes ..the salesgirl was jerking whenever i had a light foot on the brake and hardly even stepping it.and acceleration was way beyond my expectation.really ganas(like pulling u back the seat and asking u to shut up and enjoy the ride feeling).
and then i test drive the polo 1.2 .. honestly cant be compared to a golf tsi.brakes is not as good as golf, acceleration just slightly better then suzuki swift, and can hear the road noise.makes me think twice of getting the polo gti .. it might be a great performance car ,but not comfortable as the golf ..

Added on September 27, 2011, 8:35 pmbtw, the salesperson from wearnes bangsar told me the polo gti might increase the price due to change of tax for next year's batch.so the polo gti booking list for next year might experience a higher price or a lower price.its still uncertain.i didn't know they have this kinda crap goin on.i called other branch at ampang and they said the price is confirmed.i dont know who to believe.

anyways, since the polo gti is powerful but not as comfortable as golf tsi ..and my budget is less then rm140k,the best option is to wait for the upcoming hot kia optima wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif hooraah!

Went to a friend's house on Saturday and had the privileged to test drive his new Polo GTI. Apparently he's the first guy in Malaysia to be delivered of the first batch of Polo GTI.

After driving the car, was poisoned to buy one but am sticking with Golf GTI brows.gif

The car is damn nice weh, the differences are easily noticeable

Hopefully it will be problem free. I've heard some horror stories of Polo GTI's in the UK

U went to wearnes bangsar for test drive? I went there to book my golf gti se too. Yea the salesperson mentioned about the change of tax and interest rate too but she said since i book the car now she'll give me the same price even if the price increases next year.
My opinion, u better just buy golf tsi if u're having second thought about polo gti. U've tested the golf tsi n u're satisfied with the performance n comfortability n all right? U just need to add a bit more n u can get a car that u're really satisfied with. About the kia optima what if after u bought it u still feel unsatisfied n still thinking about golf or the polo gti?
U've wanted the polo gti for a while n now u like golf tsi better, so i think its better if u buy the golf tsi or even polo gti instead of the kia optima. Just my 2 cents smile.gif

yes , i guess wearnes bangsar salespeople there have their own sales technique.at wearns jalan ampang, they said there is no such thing as tax increase.next 500 unit to be brought in had been dealt with the customs already which makes sense.how could they just simply bring in the cars and declare on the spot right?

wish i could afford a golf.i know 155 might seems a little top up to some but i made my mind that i budget less the rm140k..i still have yet to view the polo gti or even test drive it so i don't want to take the risk to book and later on regret.as i said the golf is much different then polo.it wouldn't be 20 k more expensive for nothing.golf is for performance & comfort with its superb suspension system, and the polo gti is more on performance only.i dont want to focus solely on performance as i am a decent driver with the urge to speed at some times but at most times i want comfort like the golf.if they are not willing a test drive i wouldn't want to take the risk of driving something i dont feel comfortable for the next 5 years..for kia optima im sure they will have a test drive unit.its bigger, tougher, and they have all the fancy value for money gadgets that of a bmw/mercs + the led daytime lights.

hey bro since u have the chance to drive the polo gti, mind to share ur experience about the road feel, vibrations, and stability compared to a golf tsi if u have tested one?i highly doubt the polo suspension is as good as golf because when i tested golf tsi i can hardly feel the road.its seems likes floating!brakes just need a little light tap.but on the polo 1.2,i can feel the road surface, need to brake averagely, and notice some road noise.wonder how u feel on the polo gti?thx for sharing

You need to ask the right questions bro. Go for a pre-registered unit or a test drive unit. My friend just booked a 2011 pre-reg Golf TSI with less than 1k mileage for less than RM140k. My advice, call up all of the VW dealers, ask if they have any pre-registered units, if not, ask for the test drive units. Those will be selling at a much cheaper rate. You get the full 5 years warranty and your car loan interest rate will be that of a new car.

good suggestions bro,but the situation is my boss(mom)would never approve a pre registered, test drive unit,or a second hand ever.as long as someone has touched it.she wants it totally brand new.hell, i wouldn't even bother going to wearnes for polo if can get a used car.i would rather use that 136k to buy 2nd hand golf gti at any year.
but given the opportunity to choose any brand new car at less then rm 140k,i would seriously re-consider polo gti since i have tested the polo 1.2 and golf tsi today.
what i learn is that polo and golf are totally different.golf offers a much more comfort, stability and performance ride where else the polo family is just more into a decent drive with moderate comfort.the polo gti is only and upgrade from the polo which offers more to a sports performance ride but still not as comfortable as the golf family.

Hehehe, I would but my friend just booked it. But you can try calling up FA Wagen if they have any left. There were only 2 units available at that time.

Poor black GTI's news all over. I hope the owner will be properly compensated.
