Thx bro, d thing with kaveri is d cpu nb is d mileage is severely crippled if compared to its predecessors in richland or even trinity. Very difficult to have it stable @ > 1900mhz, but in d bios (asus) it was mentioned that cpu-nb is recommended @ 125% of ya ram frequency. Imagine runnin 2500mhz on ram, u need bout 3ghz on cpunb which is impossible on air, for my chip at least. Could be my chip is a lemon (or user problem), tweakin kaveri is less fun. But since am at it, mite as well try my luck. Patriot mamba looks good on intel, how well it can go on kaveri remained to be seen

i guess AMD should max out around 2700 benchable, not sure thou coz i also hardly follow AMD oc nowadays. different story for intel thou, their mileage is around 3xxxmhz which is somethg amd can only dream of. If my apu & ram can do 2600mhz am dead happy liao.

I think thats about it, d ceiling is almost there i couldnt run it any higher.

I bought it in sg bro, patriot is kinda rare brand in my so i think its quite hard to get. Even in sg their ram are quite rare. Best bet is goin for gskill but need to dive deep in search for particular model which can clock decently. Mebe master owi can shed some lights on this.

too bad all r2.0 boards had that feature removed...

if ur considerin movin to fx, can give fx6 a try if fx8 is abit pricey. make sure u go for vishera instead of bulldozer, better mileage & power consumption.

not sure bout fx but with apu higher clock does contribute to higher SSD r/w speed, so i guess same can be applied in this case? FX8 is significantly higher in clock speed thou one might need to factor in d diff in architecture, & AM3+ actually offers slower IPC (if compared clock-to-clock to Deneb) in some applications. i'll take vishera anyday over deneb thou, more fun with cpu clock as well as ram mileage.

pardon d low imc & ram clock... can't remember i had such ok chip back then. could be less stress @ imc & ram made d chip consume less volt for 3.8GHz.

1st time managed to prime stable a deneb @ 4GHz w/o insane volt...

try multi oc 1st aka 19 * 200. reason is there are too many factor mite cause the instability when u involve htt oc, ram freq & timing, nb freq, & etc.

as for voltage, u can change the vcore setting to manual or fixed. never a fans of offset setup.
