QUOTE(cloudwan @ May 28 2015, 12:32 PM) Got cooking some asam pedas or not? ayam hungry.. lol.. jokes aside good luck unker khoo.. hope u achieve ur 2500mhz dream Thx bro, d thing with kaveri is d cpu nb is d mileage is severely crippled if compared to its predecessors in richland or even trinity. Very difficult to have it stable @ > 1900mhz, but in d bios (asus) it was mentioned that cpu-nb is recommended @ 125% of ya ram frequency. Imagine runnin 2500mhz on ram, u need bout 3ghz on cpunb which is impossible on air, for my chip at least. Could be my chip is a lemon (or user problem), tweakin kaveri is less fun. But since am at it, mite as well try my luck. Patriot mamba looks good on intel, how well it can go on kaveri remained to be seen This post has been edited by ah_khoo: May 28 2015, 01:36 PM

QUOTE(davidletterboyz @ May 28 2015, 11:29 PM) Didn't follow AMD's FM chipset. Didn't know the RAM can oc so high. lol i guess AMD should max out around 2700 benchable, not sure thou coz i also hardly follow AMD oc nowadays. different story for intel thou, their mileage is around 3xxxmhz which is somethg amd can only dream of. If my apu & ram can do 2600mhz am dead happy liao. This post has been edited by ah_khoo: May 29 2015, 02:50 PM

QUOTE(davidletterboyz @ May 31 2015, 12:22 AM) Nice bro. But I couldn't find that Mamba stick in this forum. Seems like not popular here? I think thats about it, d ceiling is almost there i couldnt run it any higher. I bought it in sg bro, patriot is kinda rare brand in my so i think its quite hard to get. Even in sg their ram are quite rare. Best bet is goin for gskill but need to dive deep in search for particular model which can clock decently. Mebe master owi can shed some lights on this.

QUOTE(CyrusWong @ Jun 8 2015, 08:47 PM) overclocked my phenom ii x3 710 from 2.6ghz to 3.65ghz, still bottlenecking my gpu performance.... when dota 2 the cpu still running in between 80% to 90%... it's time to upgrade cpu, wanna upgrade to fx8350, but seriously lack of $$... have u tried unlockin d chip (provided ya mobo support core unlcokin)??? phenom x3 is barely enuf for gaming nowadays... QUOTE(davidletterboyz @ Jun 8 2015, 09:53 PM) Whoa...that's the kind of thread I wanted to find. glad it helps bro thou for ya case it's not AMD related... btw, my mamba is on sale... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by ah_khoo: Jun 9 2015, 10:35 AM

QUOTE(CyrusWong @ Jun 9 2015, 12:21 PM) Asus M5A97 R2.0 don't have Core Unlocker.... too bad all r2.0 boards had that feature removed... if ur considerin movin to fx, can give fx6 a try if fx8 is abit pricey. make sure u go for vishera instead of bulldozer, better mileage & power consumption.

QUOTE(cloudwan @ Jun 9 2015, 03:21 PM) Funny thing i found moving from a Phenom X6 to FX 8series is that some menial task are quicker.. lol.. Like i notice i get better through output speed from my USB3.0 portable hdd than when i was using the phenom.. lol.. Donno if its real or just maybe a placebo effect on my part.. not sure bout fx but with apu higher clock does contribute to higher SSD r/w speed, so i guess same can be applied in this case? FX8 is significantly higher in clock speed thou one might need to factor in d diff in architecture, & AM3+ actually offers slower IPC (if compared clock-to-clock to Deneb) in some applications. i'll take vishera anyday over deneb thou, more fun with cpu clock as well as ram mileage. QUOTE(Wan.Him @ Mar 13 2016, 12:32 PM) hello guys. Need help from you guys to help me achieve stable 4.0 my spec phenom x6 1090t asus crosshair iv formula currently only able to achieve 3.8 ghz (16*238) and any more than 3.8 my pc wont boot. I cant set the voltage because it only have the offset voltage setting. try multi oc 1st aka 19 * 200. reason is there are too many factor mite cause the instability when u involve htt oc, ram freq & timing, nb freq, & etc. as for voltage, u can change the vcore setting to manual or fixed. never a fans of offset setup.
